Why do people think that Helldivers are just billions of normal soldiers?
Unless the developers have stated otherwise, I'm pretty sure that the Helldivers are clones in some way. Any Helldiver that gets through the training is given a Destroyer which then continuously clones them. But since clones are somewhat expensive, we only get a few per mission. If it were just expendable soldiers with minimal training, the reinforcement limit wouldn't really make sense. This isn't Warhammer 40K, Super Earth doesn't have trillions of people living on it. What do you guys think?

You should share this idea with your local democracy officer.

Unless the devs tweak how Season #2+ starts out, for our very first season of the galactic map we started out with human controlled sectors with colonies away from Super Earth. We, humans, are also coming from colony planets, not just from our homeworld.

Game intro is literal recruitment ad.

Well super earth does have a lot of colonies, which in turn leads me to believe that they have a vast number of humans. and I assume that their normal soldiers in the navy/army outnumber Helldivers by a LOT. I do like the theory that divers are clones, but it would also make sense if masses of civilians and normal troops signed up to become divers.

There is no lore that says Helldivers are clones. If lore was added to support this then sure why not.

Oh, we aren't Normal soldiers, that'd be the SEAF- Super Earth Armed Forces.
You can find the corpses pretty regularly!

We're suppose to be the special forces to some degree. But SEAF relies on, y'know.
Not constantly dropping 40k tons of freedom on someone from space.

It's feasible to all just be normal recruits that are frozen at the time of training completion and then thawed and deployed when there's actual fighting to do. Or given that the society is highly indoctrinated, a large number of the population is eager to volunteer whenever there is a call for enlistment.

I just looked that up and you are right. I guess it does fit the established universe. If the helldivers were all a clone army then there would be no need for the recruitment campaigns. Earth might be one planet but humanity has colonised lots of planets, there is an abundance of potential recruits for the military. You probably also wouldn't have the two different body types and four different voice types.
