How to make your game PRIVATE

Push escape, options, GAMEPLAY (it's at the top, even you can't miss it), Matchmaking Privacy (At the top again, I'm very proud of you). Click on the arrow to Friends Only.

Nah, it is legit remark. It is a problem you join public game ant get instantly kicked since HOSTs wants to play friends only game. The option to make game private should be more visible like in other games.

For example on ship you have this O button to go to option or R to go to warbonds or shop.

On ship there should be visible your game privacy level, and maybe some global key assigned to change it quickly.
Press L to open game's privacy menu, with 3 options:
- private,
- friends only,
- public.

It needs to be easy so even a dummy can find it. This is like a basic QoL.

No you can't
Even with friends-only lobby settings your steam friends/social friends can still join you freely. Hardly private i'd say.

You can still randomly get put into friend only lobbies. Very annoying actually, i had to kick 4 people in a span of 15 seconds to get a friend in

There should be player slot reservation for like 60 seconds at host side when friend invite is pending.

the problem is friends only doesnt work when it is only using the ingame friends list and not syncing with your steams friends list and your ingames friends list loses 6 friends everyday because for some reason your ingame friends list doesnt save properly. were forced to keep our lobbies public because we cant get our friends into our game because

Not only that, you should be able to easily see and switch it in the pre-drop lobby directly.

Just add invite only alongside friends only.
Friends can still freely join.
Simple QoL addition 4head.

Hitting esc and changing public to friends is the only way currently. Just have no friends and no one will join.

Turning crossplay off also bricks the friends list so it could be an additional more private option. Dunno if it affects others seeing you online.

I think this is a fair criticism of people that waste other people's time using the kick feature after a lengthy load in. It's annoying af and makes you feel like dropping out of the game because some nimrod is going to be among many others that do this.

Anyone who demands how others should play, should be the ones who turn their game mode to private, not the other way around.
