Jump pack
I feel like the jump pack isnt the best. Is it just me? it barely makes you fly at all.

its more for getting away from bugs and robots that are on top of you

It is very disappointing when compared to how it was in the first game. I miss having it as a regular mobility option rather than a "oh ♥♥♥♥!" button on a 40 second cooldown.

There are several situations where you can elevate to get out of danger. Like running from SUDDENLY 4 CHARGERS! Just get out of reach, they'll stand there like idiots while you plan your next move/ your teammates pick them off/ you fly to the opposite side of the thing you hid on top of and start running to break line of sight.

It's good for doing stupid things, like charging into a huge nest to close 1 hole, and jumping over the bugs blocking your escape.

I like to set up on elevation for objectives and cover the team with suppressive fire or snipes.

You can also jump to get extra throw distance.

Needs improvement. The idea is fine, but a higher jump on a shorter cooldown, Also when I try to climb a wall and I'm too close to the wall at the start, I just get stuck on the way up so fix that.

Yea it need a lot shorter cooldown or a over heat system just something because it's just terrible to use right now about as worthless as the tesla tower.

The additional mobility is very handy. And the fact that it can allow you to reach heights that Automatons and Terminids generally can't reach (unless in the effect of Terminids they bug and ramp up the wall), giving you a good advantage.

I've found the jump to be a bit inconsistent though with its height—not sure if that's just me.

The cooldown seems fine on it except there are occasions where two jumps in a row would make an enormous difference. I would've like it to be able to store an extra jump charge.

it feels like theres a safety mode turned on.
we dont need safety if i want to launch myself like a rocket and not leave any juice to safely land let me lol.
im already using pods of spores to launch myself with varying levels of success depending on if i nail my head on something or not lol. that shouldn't so much be better then the jetpack

The jump pack has saved my ass numberless times..it's pretty useful if you want to play as a sniper support..

Have you noticed that a lot of egg hives and raised automaton bases have weak points/hidden entrances only accessible by jump pack?

It's a JUMP pack, not a FLY pack. LITERALLY in the name, like c'mon, bruh. :steamfacepalm:
