Settings Optimization

Just wondering if anyone running a similar setup can help me pinpoint where my issue is. The game ran flawlessly before the latest patch but I can't seem to get it back to where it was. For ref, I ran around 70-90 FPS depending on what was happening on screen beforehand. Today, I was lucky to hit 50. I'm running a 3060TI w/8GB of VRAM, an i7 8700k at 4.20 GHz and 32GB of RAM. Like I said, I had the game running very smoothly before and now it's a slog. Any troll comments will just be yeeted. Thanks

Edit since people think I'm posting here for funsies: Updated drives, tried optimization guides, tried the different scaling options, tried a few other suggested fixes to no avail.

Got a somewhat similar rig.
3060 Ti and an i7 8086K at 1080p.

Had it running around 70-90 fps, as you said. Now I get around 60-70 with dips into the 40-50's which I didnt get before.

ps. our cpu's are bottlenecking our gpu's, I knew that and will upgrade soon

make sure motion blur is off, not only is it awful in this game it totally tank the performance.

Motion blur is off, just as any other option tanking fps. Running mostly low/medium and only textures on high. FSR on ultra quality and on easy to go planets I run native.

Odd, i also have an 8700 i7, but i have a 2070 super playing medium with 1 or 2 high, 65 FPS mostly. 32gb RAM on an SSD.

Yeah, I'm aware of the CPU being a bottleneck now, unfortunate side effect of upgrading parts as they become ineffective. I ended up getting my original performance back after a restart. I restarted after the driver updates but evidently my PC said it wasn't good enough

Shadow, Volumetric, Reflection quality. Seems to be the big settings that hit performance hardest I'm that order from shadows hit the hardest.
You can put those settings to medium or high & you'l notice a decent jump & the graphic fidelity won't suffer much.
Also try running the game in DX11 that gave me around 20fps I'm not hope so I can't remember the exact launch code but I'm sure you can find it in one if the post about potential AMD fixes.

My performance is also atrocious even though I meet the recommended specs:

RTX 2070
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
32g RAM
8GB Vram

The game runs horrible for me even on medium settings. I get like 30 FPS with big dips in firefights to the point where the game turns into a slideshow. My audio is also very choppy & disorienting (which is an entirely different issue afaik). It's like when people's voices turn robotic on discord but worse. I've tried tweaking everything in game and then making changes to my computer (fan speed, power settings, etc) and so far no luck.

It's so strange because after reading through several different threads it doesn't seem as if there's any consistency whatsoever. I see people saying things like "oh yeah I'm running this on a 1080 and I'm getting a consistent and smooth 60+ frames!" Meanwhile people who have better specs than me are getting the same performance that I'm getting. I really don't know where to go from here. It's a shame because the game is a lot of fun.

My performance went back to 70-80 depending on what's on screen. I had already restarted after updating drivers and changing some settings that got defaulted but went ahead and did it again and everything is back to normal now. I feared the recent patch had broken something with optimization but all is good on my end now

I have the same CPU and the performance is just bad, can't get it to 60 especially when there are a lot on the screen.

i wonder have you found any solution or what are your settings?
