Dont have the game. Wondering if it's worth getting cause none of my friends have it.
If you play with people who use English as their first language like from the US, Canada, Brits etc then yeah a lot of them seem to use voice.
If you play with people from more around Europe then no, we are shy and most of us do not get much if any daily "practice" talking English so even though I can kinda say that most of us knows English very well that just makes it worse because we know how things are supposed to be pronounced but our languages do not pronounce things the same way which makes it sound weird when we talk without first getting used to the switch.
...So most wont use voice and stick to chat or in-game commands.
If you play with the console nerds you get to hear what their entire family is doing and whats on the TV though because none of them seem to bother to turn the voice to push-to-talk!
Call outs for double doors and the like.
The game also has a pretty good pinging and callout system built in
But you do not need to use a mic - the ingame ping system is quite good . If you do not use a mic, you have to pay attention to what the team does (i.e. open the map from time to time).
IMHO, the game is a top-tier PvE coop tactical shooter, can wholeheartedly recommend it.
PS
I am from europe and I often realize that my spoken english skills could use some improvement. But people seem to accept it.
Sorry about that, it's just that armor you were wearing looked really good.
