For the sake of kindness I must let you know that we are joking when we despise cape-haters. For the legal record, I must state I love the cape and no Helldiver is complete without it. For compromise sake, maybe they'll add a reaally short cape to the options to enable more combat agility, or a reflective cape that has properties that make it harder to see for better sneaking. Definitely not for the sake of having the cape stop clipping through my leg in menus, I'm no terminid-loving bot-brushing traitor.

Okay OP, I'll give you an ACTUAL answer. The whole reason there are capes is the in-universe propaganda. Heroes wear capes, Helldivers wear capes, therefore Helldivers are Heroes and people should look up to them and aspire to be them.

Also want to have that option. Just watching how it clips through body ruining all immersion. Short capes have less clipping, but still look ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Yes while in game dive forward off a semi steep ledge/cliff and the cape will now flip over your head and become a bib, no more cape now you have a bib, maybe we can call it a apron.
