Xbox Controller is better optimized for Helldivers 2

I played with an xbox style and ps5 controllers and find that the xbox style is more comfortable to play with. The biggest pro is that the d-pad on the Xbox style controller is closer to my right thumb, so I am able to hold L1 and operate the d-pad while moving at the same time. I do like the touchpad on ps5. What are your thoughts?

I do like the shape and layout better on xbox controller, but the haptic trigger stuff sounds pretty tantalizing.

For me there's only one controller now: Flydigi Apex 2. Loads of extra button so I can have easier to access to map, quick grenade, separate buttons for each weapon, and of course gyro aiming.

Either way this is steam forums and you posted about controllers, so you are going to get flamed by office supply fanatics.
