Fun meme build to piss off the metatards

Whenever your scythe heats up just switch to your laser rifle stratagem and keep firing

Not meta at all but it's pretty fun and honestly pretty viable despite what people would have you believe

Super viable to have literally no way to deal with a Charger outside of a strategem with a 3 minute cooldown time and 3 total uses for the whole mission.

Kicking people for not using meta builds is bad. The mindless hate for people using the meta build is also bad. There is a middle ground.

orbital railgun is 100% essential for anyone tbh...if that's "boring meta" then guilty as charged I guess. Even that has a legnthy cooldown though....so yea having a decent support weapon is also important though sadly auto canon can't directly engage armored enemies...but for medium armor you will be thankful and it has saved my ass many a times.

I did the laser build and it sucks. Coupled it with a Lasercannon too.

Full laser builds are fun on cold planets, and against bugs. They seem less viable now that I'm playing on 7, but I agree they're fun builds. Sweeping hordes of bugs with lasers while you alternate weapons to avoid heat build up is a lot of fun.

The problem is they're pretty useless when you get swarmed. But if you pack a jetpack and fly up high to rain down lasers and cover your team... pretty cool. And your laser dog will let you know when bugs start climbing behind you, so you can fly to the next spot.

Laser rifle/rover is unironically pretty good, I use that with some EATs and cleave my way through bots and bugs alike!

What is the game throwing at you that you think the orbital railgun is 100% essential?

If anything its the support weapon railgun that is 100% essential because that is what is probably killing the 10+ chargers and Titans while your orbital railgun is on cooldown.



I really wish and hope the laser cannon(support weapon) gets a buff so it heats up/weakens armor the longer its fired at a target, would make it somewhat good to have in a squad then.

Beam the face or leg of a Charger and then you/your team blasts through the melted and weakened armor to kill it.

Yeah, at least the rover + scythe are really fun, I use those two a lot
