Maybe you have an issue with your key?
There is a difference between "Working under pressure" interruptions when you get shot or bitten, and "Oh, no. The sound design just lied to you." jank.
Expect a bunch of people who think inconvenience you deal with by admitting the stims timing is unpolished so you pity it like "This is indie dev, age seven, first game made. please be kind", is actually some kind of "Frantic skill based challenge"
Nah. you deal with it by admitting it is poorly polished. That puts you in the mindset to ensure you mash that heal button until it sticks like a call of duty player, while blaming skill issues just gets you killed when you expect a careful press of the heal button 0.1 seconds before stepping on a small rock makes you stumble to heal you. Instead of canceling it post "Liberty heal me!" voice line.
There are ways to interrupt your stim usage, either it be you getting shot, getting melee attacked, or even a mini bump when you hop off a small ledge.
Yeah. Some days I wonder if half the people bragging about "Skill issues" just don't actually want competition and are giving bad advice on purpose. If they wanted people to improve they would tell people how the game actually works, not the daydream fantasy version.
*eyes flashbacks of regretting listening to anyone declaring you can't be hit through the pillars in the ornstein and smough fight* turns out expecting things to be jank is the most important part of pattern recognition.
So many times I've cancelled my gun reload since I've heard the sound effect, just to realize my gun is still empty.
On the other hand I use the ammo pack and frequently encounter a similar bug where I press 5 to resupply, game plays the audio for resupply but I get nothing.
Worst instance of this was when I literally ran out of ammo and had a bunch of bugs trying to swarm me.
Cool beans I just press 5 and reload:
NO AMMO
Cool... I just.. press 5 and reload:
NO AMMO!!
I PRESS 5 AND RELOAD:
NO AMMO!!!!!!
5, 5, 5, 5, AND RELOAD!:
NO AMMO!
RELOAD ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!:
NO AMMO!!
BLUARGH!! *Funny death sound of being eaten by bugs*
Usually it works on the 2nd attempt if the first failed, refusing to do it for like 20 seconds while chased by bugs is a whole other level of frustration.
At least in helldivers case, they bank most of your time spent reloading instead of going back to zero (exceptions excluded). Thank god for whatever honest dev implemented that function.
Treating the game like a laggy counterstrike server instead of using any sense of strategt or timing is just sad, but it is a lot easier to brag about putting up with that than it would be to have "You know, TRUE realistic reloads does not discard your old magazine with ammo to spare into the phantom zone." (which in turn reminds me how the revolver pistol reloads slower than the shotgun...)
With the second reload animation simply giving it good smack.
*shrugs*
if reload anim is stopped, you dont lose another mag, ITS THE SAME. and the anime is faster.
can you please check your HUD better.
