The base/default AR23 Liberator isn't bad, same with SMG37 isn't that bad either.
R63 Diligence is OK, but the CS version isn't really worthwhile IMO
Scythe isn't bad especially if you can hold the laser on weakpoints.
As for support weapons, I am a long-standing believer in EATs supremacy.
Grenade launcher is great for clearing out weaker enemies, Recoilless Rifle is great (if you have someone that loads for you), the Arc Thrower is interesting, Spear is amazing if you can convince it to lock on (I achieve this via blood offerings, but there are likely other viable methods) and have a boatload of extra supply drops.
Pretty much the last line of this!
I've seen people use so called F tier weapons better than some people use the Breaker
The so called meta build is BS, its effective but that doesn't mean nothing else cant be effective for you
Just about the only weapons that straight-up aren't worth using in serious difficulties are the premium warbond variants that lose a big chunk of damage to gain an extra damage type.
tl;dr: people who want 4x railgun + shield are dumb. The point of having four separate loadouts is to cover a wider range of situations.
Guess I should clarify. I mainly use Diligence in Automaton missions, as I don't run into as many visibility issues in their sectors as I do with Terminids; also, I primarily run Automaton missions. When I do fancy doing Terminind missions though, I usually switch to Scythe or Breaker. I can understand where you're coming from though. It's one of the reasons why I don't care much for doing Terminid sectors. Too much damn obfuscation. Wish there were some equipment or Stratagems that did something to enhance vision. I would use the hell out of thermal, nightvision or bio-scan stuff.
Against large swarms of small to medium bugs it will do an amazing job.
Yeah I didn't get why I should ever use the DMRs over just tapping an AR, not like the DMR's doing much more vs armor, the damage isn't great when you look at the comparison of damage + magazine size between them (Where the AR will have double+ the amount of ammo anyway) and so on, they just don't feel good at all right now.
