2) Weapons: mileage may vary, but I would say Helldivers, but only if we include pages’ 7/8/9 weapons.
3) Combat Experience: Helldivers. Space Vietnam didn’t stop us. We’re blitzing through battles so fast that PTSD can’t keep up with us.
Every respawn is a new character. helldivers are nothing but canon fodder for the meat grinder.
On the other hand, ODST's are all given harsher and more rigorous training. They are designed to be the best of the best. And in halo's universe, every single human body is precious, given how hard the Covenant, Flood, banished and forerunners have beaten them back. They have available to them The best training, Weapons and armour a Non-spartan can get their hands on.
If we strip away Stratagems, An ODST would beat the ever-loving ♥♥♥♥ out of a helldiver.
weapons, probably HD... but ODST are trained with covenant weapons too, soo if they had them maybe ODST take that too.
vehicles also goes to ODST, yes the super destroyer is impressive, but the UNSC frigate has a scary as all hell MAC cannon that is capable of taking out far more advanced Covenant shields. they also have FENRIS Nuclear weapons on board.
ODST can call in warthogs and Scorpions for missions if they need them with the Pelican, but they also have Longsword and Saber support depending on the mission.
Comparable to the HD Eagle, but unlike HD that only has the 1 in the ship, the USCN frigate has many many aerospace assets inside it.
So I think the UNSC and ODST are goign to have to take the W on this one.
95% of a helldiver's combat effectiveness disappears the moment the Super Carrier leaves Orbit. Whereas ODST's are trained to get themselves lost in the thick of it with no support for extended periods of time.
My point exactly: even with the lack of training and Super Earth stance on human resources, the Helldivers are winning on all front.
Think you might be mistaking quantity for quality there, and slightly overlooking the differences in the enemies being fought.
ODST is facing a technologically superior enemy, Helldivers are not.
it's minimal at best.
Automatons son? Have you ever fought them?
