Termicide tower is so broken
there's literally nothing you can do to stop the bugs from getting to it. Even tried using full trap / anti tank setups but the amount of spewers just makes it ridiculous

[Edit] Thanks to those who are giving genuine advice. We've been trying a lot of them

My favorite feature of this new mission is when I'm trying to run up the ramps and my character clips right thru it and I end up under the map (:

yeah ive encountered that ramp clipping like 3 times (think it´s just one or two that have the issue), always manage to get unclipped though

100% skill issue....
Not really. I’ve joined randoms on these missions where none of them bring defensive strats. If you’re the only person equipped to deal with the tower defense, you’re losing 100%.

My best suggestion is tesla towers. They are extremely good in those mode. By yourself. It thinkit's near impossible on 7+ But with at least 3 squad mates. maybe 2. If you've both got 2 telas towers. You can keep 2 out of the 3-4 bug directions safe. Chargers and Bile titans don't seem to target the batteries so as long as you kite them away from the tower or murder them it should be fine.

The missions incredibly hard but the Tesla towers should help immensely. Liberty guide you helldiver

People is failing because they don't take their sweet time to setup defences.

They go like lemmings in their last trip to activate the silo. Just wait, if you have cleaned the patrols nothing will spawn until we activate the silo. We have 40 MINUTES, there is no rush.

Setup traps in all the sides where the spawns are coming from, a tesla trap and some turret can supress a flank entirely if you deal with the chargers or titans trying to destroy them.

Place expendable AT's on cooldown everywhere, and all your other tools to deal with heavies, also go with crowd control weapons like arc or flamethrower, the mecha is also great if people mark heavies.

Remember, the silo takes Friendly Fire damage, don't use an Eagle cluster to clean the bugs munching the silo, yeah, you killed them...as your silo, you have wasted all your turrets ammo and the snowball is crazy.

Now the next silo, same, take your time, wait for cooldowns, don't rush, it's stupid...40 minute, remember.

And finally, some people is confused with the ending, go to the extraction point, there is a console, activate, and now call for extraction like always.

my favorite was when I respawned and couldn't control my pod (another bug?) and it dropped me in the little pool of water which you can't get out of and I died.

then my game crashed.

You’re not imagining anything. You’re just not listening to what I’m saying.

The spawns are continuous ONCE YOU PRESS THE BUTTON.

The downtime occurs before touching the button.

if you don't play the game, the bugs can't get you.

This is the only objective type in the game that resets to 0 if you die, which is what completely breaks it, and is a stupid easy fix for the devs.

It also plays exactly the same every time and has none of the flavor that all of the other open worldish objective types offer.

If they plan on leaving this in the game beyond this event, I could see it killing the game, or at least my own interest in it, since every quick play I join is this, and its more like quick unplayable.

But this game is basically early access, even tho it isn't flagged as such, so good luck getting anything working out of it, especially the live updates.

Finished my first one today, defending the silos was not the problem with gatling turrets. But how the hell should i manage to evacuate with hundreds and hundreds of bugs swarming the evac zone? Seems broken! And that was on diff 2! Ok i finished the objective so ive done my job even without evac? Right? Wrong! After misson the game tells me that i did 0 impact was breaking my mental. Alt + f4 + emotional damage -.-

Most of the time we weren't able to press the button because there were 2-3 bile titans, constant bugholes opening and bile spewers all over. But anyhow, the arc thrower trivialised it. problem solved
