pug is fine. some people speak of teamkilling and kicking, but that must be an issue in lower difficulties, I guess.
I wouldn't recommend it for solo play.

Solo play is hard. But possible, I solo level 9 bots (9 being the highest difficulty). But you can also just solo lower levels. Just be prepared to overwhelmed if you make a mistake.

Pug play is fine. It is about the same as Pug play is in any other game. Some people are nice, some are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Its fine until Difficulty 7 even after the patch.

Hell Dive can be done once you have proper strats and wep's unlocked learn how to stealth as much as possible though it is ALOT more difficult than before takes almost the full time to get main objectives finished due to having to run and hide from enemies constantly solo.

If you try and Rambo your way through on anything higher than Difficulty 3 when Chargers start to appear en mass you will fail due to endless spawns/getting over run.

FYI they "nerf" and change just about everything currently in the game for "balancing purposes" this has lead to a major backlash from a large number of players. If you cant handle the constant changes this game isn't for you solo or in a group. Hasn't really affected me but it could affect YOU.

I'm max in everything but super credits but for new players it apparently has gotten a lot harder than before to get everything maxed out.

Good luck

Its fine. I easily pug'd to 50 with everything unlocked (including warbond). And no, you don't need to 'meta' at high level; just play well with what you take. I normally play 8-9 (really little more benefit to 9) and have few issues.

I would suggest you play no higher than 6 diff until you can unlock some gear/strats that will help you deal with the armored mobs you start to see at 7+ diff.

You will occasionally meet a troll or a sweat, but that is the same in all games. Just play and have fun.

I don't play solo but when I que with randoms I usually get decent games. Rare to get everyone using their mic though which is a bit of a pain.

Solo sucks because it's balanced for team play. You get 1/4th the firepower and flexibility while still having to deal with the same enemies and objectives. Pugs are a mixed bag; turn off crossplay and there's vastly less toxicity but it still exists.

Its good. Im playing on diff 8-9 mostly and didnt gave any bad experience.

Terrible. Definetly not build around solo play. And public is a cointoss. Sometimes you get people joining your mission, sometimes you dont. Sometimes people let you join, more often then not they just kick you instead of making their dumb game private to begin with.

Most experiences with pugging at non sweat lord levels have been pretty good for me at least. Difficulty 4, 5, 6.

Solo is fun at Difficulty level 5/6. Feels tedious and like a chore at rank 7 with non stop patrols homing in on me every minute of the match even while I play stealthy and try to avoid patrols between objectives.

I'm level 40 with everything but a couple ship modules unlocked and I got there exclusively solo.

There are multiple difficulties, so if you want to play solo, you can just find a fun difficulty level for yourself. No need to endure frustration if a higher difficulty isn't fun.

As for public games. My experience is pretty good so far. Only been kicked a couple times, which could have been for any number of reasons, so I don't care. Met very very few active griefers. Team killing will happen as friendly fire can't be turned off, mistakes happen, and ♥♥♥♥ gets chaotic, but I honestly think it's part of the fun.

Some people have stories of endless problems with griefers, but I honestly haven't seen it. Most people I've played with have been nice, friendly, and helpful.
