What would happen if Super Earth were to fall?

However, if due to some unforeseen events, Super Earth were to fall, what would happen? Have high commander ever told us?

I never played it, but in the previous game we'd evacuate and start a new Super Earth. Then all our enemies would creep back up and we'd repeat the process.

If super earth were to fail it would become a bug ridden hell with robotic and IT equipment that needs constant reboot - hold on! much like what we experience day to day :p.
