Eradicates are impossible?
First I should disclose my skill level: I completed solo campaigns on difficulty 9: helldive against both bots and bugs in the launch version of the game. The new eradicate missions are impossible to beat solo. I have not been able to survive more than 30 seconds on a difficulty 5 eradicate Terminids missions. I tried 7 times with different load-outs. The 380mm HE orbital barrage is only thing adequate for thinning out the absurd amount of enemies that completely saturate such a tiny map. But it's impossible to get away from it without leaving the mission area. And if you die while trying to type out the very long dance dance revolution code for it then it's not possible to drop anywhere and avoid getting hit by it. Also as soon as you reinforce it's impossible to drop anywhere where you won't immediately get yeeted by hunters chargers and bile titans. Why did Arrowhead think it was a good idea to make these missions harder in every way? They are way harder than escort missions used to be.

Since the game is not designed to play solo in any way, shape, or form one assumes this is a non-issue.

Since a team of 4 could take a nap and still complete a helldive version in under 5 minutes, it was probably a wise change.

You could try suggesting a possible fix (or set theirof) in your thread.

I'll start with the obvious one: Give us a bigger map area to fight in.:raven:

Ya'll would ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die if you saw the original eradications from helldivers 1.

Yes, they're hard, helldivers is sposed to be hard, the developers want it to be hard, the community wants it to be hard, if you don't want it to be hard, play at a lower difficulty.

They wanted to implement a Halo: Reach Lone Wolf on crack and cocoin experience :captainclown:

But jokes aside, from anychange they did ... even the whacky RNG meteorites deaths arent that bad of a deal... They ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up hard on the enemy spawn rate and damage calculation against the player ...
Like Hunter gives now 2 shot hits... Iam not a damn bird or what ever with a 360 view angle :captainclown:

Yea, the changes to this mission never considered solo players at all. I think the only thing you can do is get labeled a traitor and pray the strikes kill off enough enemies.

The changes were made because people were abusing Eradication to farm. This negatively affects people's ability to join games on higher difficulties because the majority of matches you would find were for farming. The developers took an extreme approach to end xp/medal farming.

Bots difficult need to be adjusted. After the mechs patch they're like a terminid mission +5 difficult. I tried to do a 4 player level 6 bots at some time they spawned 4 tanks and like 5 hulks at the same time, and now the dropships drop them in the upper part and they can climb behind the tower, so there's no safe place anymore

If you notice, there is a bot specific alert right now.

It specifically makes them harder.

well technically you are 100% true but there is a slightly issue... i dont know how it looks post update ... but i stoped random quick search, cuz iam kinda tired of A: try to search until someone dosent kick ya ass out of the lobby
B: Kicks randomly your ass out the lobby mid dive
or C: the lobby owner ragequits and everyone get kick the ass out of the lobby...
Plus: Not everyone has 4 friends that play that game at the same time :scribe:

I just did one solo today to get the 'hold my primary' challenge completed. Brought the machine pistol, the orbital laser, orbital gas, eagle napalm, 380mm barrage and stam booster.

I wear light armor for speed, and stupidly keep servo-assist equipped even though I technically won't need it on such a small map.

Kite everything in a circle around the base center, drop napalm and gas in the middle. Periodically run through the center around the edges of your drops and drag them through. Use your orbital laser first and 380 second when they build up so much you can't deal. If you die, make a play for one of the rock plateaus in your drop pod to get up and out of the zerg.

Botched my first attempt, but completed it on the second. And that's without using a primary weapon at all.

Fair, but the other mission types are noticeably scaled down for solo players because the amount of enemies is waaaaay lower. It appears they do not make those adjustments for eradicates anymore.

Your first two sentences are the problem, mainly the word "Solo." Stop trying to solo a squad based game. The difficulties don't scale and it is designed around ALL your team members working together with stratagem call downs. Eradication missions are pretty easy if you do EMS mortars and mine fields (I know people hate them.) but they blow up all the small things with ease, leaving you to dispatch the bigger, tankier enemies with your support weapons or turrets.

Here's how you do it, become a traitor by going off the map, run around with your orbital barrage aura. They'll probably change that eventually to a railcannon shot once people start using that a lot thought.
theyre not impossible but they do get kinda insane

Diff-impossible is easy. So yes eradication is easy, even on Helldive.
