Theres literally tooltips stating the automatons are extra vulnerable to suppression mechanics.
I've been sniped by laser turrets out of the fog, while I had no vision on it, and while crouching.
They made hidden changes that broke stealth, thus smokes and vision impairing effects work only on players and nothing else.
Smoke makes them shoot and walk at your last seen location, you can drop it, reposition, take cover and ambush them from flank.
but not the rocket sniper that keep oneshot my head all the time
i mean the shot not random at all they still can target me through the smoke
Literally nothing in the game suggests they have thermals, and beyond that we have smoke that shuts down thermals irl.
You have to have the smoke basically 10m infront of or basically ontop of them for anything to happen and even then it doesn' work most of the time.
I'm waiting to be told as an Arma/Squad player that I'm using smoke wrong somehow for putting a huge cloud inbetween me and enemies, though.
I dropped eagle smoke inbetween me and a huge crowd, dove backwards to get behind the hill, and mid-dive a Heavy Devastator IN the cloud lasered me with 100% accuracy during the dive. So yeah, no, it's broken, and anyone saying it isn't or trying to use "Muh realism" arguments is a simp.
