Cannot Accept Friend Request From Ps5 User!

I've been trying to add my friend on helldivers 2 and for 3+ days, i have not been able to accept his friend request. No explanation or anything. just refuses to accept. I can play with him if we join someone on the map we can both see, I can see his name when i try adding his friend code, friend can see me when he tries adding my friend code. I see him in my recent players list but he does not see me at all. The blocked list shows 0 at all times no matter how many random people we block. The big thing when it comes to crossplay is the ability to add your friends so things can be seemless when joining and inviting each other. Only way to play is to find people on the map we both can see and pray that it doesn't fill up within 10 seconds.

game is fun but i'm not going to spend 15+ minutes on the map trying to simply play with a friend.

i was having this issue too. took me three days of trying before a friend request finally went through. just keep trying, it's annoying and frustrating but it should work eventually.

My boyfriend and I wanted to play together and we were denied this. $30... but I can't play with someone I wanted to play with in the first place..

Hey there, you didnt mention but is crossplay enabled? I had no problem adding ps5 users through the friend code - perhaps you can try doing a on/off of that setting and restarting the game for good measure.

Can't believe they haven't fixed this yet. I have over 20+ players in my invite tab half of which are people sending me requests which I accept but nothing happens.

Several of my friends aren´t shown in my ingame friendlist.

Same problem with the block list. Even if you add one, it also doesn´t show up.

@Spud Crossplay is enabled on both. We even tried crossplay off and the friend request disappeared, as soon as we enabled crossplay, all ps5 user friend requests instantly came back

my friend is on PS5 and i'm on steam. friends list works fine. its just adding ps5 player is the issue, not another steam user
