-I played a mission and in the briefing the game is slowdown (i have a very good pc) and i close the game and restart.
-i restart the pc and the ssd is missing, bios detected, but no windows.
-So i try to repair the ssd, and i running chkdsk in the night
-in the morning i look the ssd is visible in windows, but very slow, so i uninstall helldivers 2 and restart
-and the ssd is good, i tested with a lot of games and files, and is in good condition.
Correlation doesn't mean causation.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think you're lying, but I'd like hard evidence or at least a lot of good correlation.
I'd lose no sleep over the rootkit being removed if it showed it was detrimental.
However, it seems these kind of events are extremely rare, making it hard to show it was the anticheat causing it.
I reading now reddit and this forum and i read a ton of people with this similar problem with this game. Is weird and i dont want to play without a solution.
The anticheat is very invasive.
A ton of people equals what? A few dozen? Of millions of players?
I'd like the invasive anticheat to be far less invasive too, but it won't happen unless good evidence comes out that it's actively harming people.
Is a low percent, but 20 people is a lot, if is the same problem.
But for me the ssd is alive, but was corrupted playing the game.
Just fyi, Samsung had a big run of basicly faulty NVME SSDs a while ago (980 series iirc).
I wouldn't be surprised if some of these claims are people with such SSDs but had no clue about that.
Maybe even have failing ones from other manufacturers.
Mine is Wéstern Digital and is running fine after uninstall the Game.
Is so weird
