They are just like us, a faceless pawns in the war.
Even in HD 1 a boss unit is not really "named" either.
Already are some "boss" style bugs with that mission where you gotta assassinate a particular one.
Off top of my head that one charger with bladed forelegs.
A named one better not be in combat then, since the magic is kinda lost if everyone and their mom can kill "Joel" a hundred time over.
Maybe as a narrative boss of the said mini boss group.
