isn't this what the dev's said to us when we originally complained?
Spruance Mar 10, 2024 @ 4:03pm
the devs failed a difficulty 6 match on stream LOL

It really is.

A lot of people: Game is now unfun because railgun sucks!

Me running around with a flame thrower, rover, Light armor in 7+ while getting the highest kill count and finishing a handful of objectives alone: :D

They are. The highest difficulties are meant to be hard as hell. People were getting comfy in difficulties they weren't mechanically ready for because of overly strong kit.

Problem is, with people having done speed grinding strats, and having all the stuff, possibly except Super Samples, playing on lower difficulties just doesn't give you anything since the only thing they could be missing is Super Samples. So they end up in this really nasty place of getting no rewards from the difficulties they should be practicing on, and getting stomped flat in the difficulties they would be rewarded on.

Nobody likes having to pick between no rewards and no fun.

Skill is not needed for a casual game.

Yep. You're supposed to work your way up to Higher difficulties. It's not enough to have stratagems. You need Modules. some of which turn specific stratagems into absolute Horde killers.

For instance, The turret ones can make the autocanon turret take out several chargers and titans at once.

The more consistent damage on Orbitals can make the barrages take out even heavy nests.

Gain the ability to hold 2 500KG bombs at once and get them to re-arm faster.

A lot of the gameplay revolves around being able to use Stratagems. Not just fly through an entire match with just a railgun. Not to mention the fact, if people were avoiding killing things, they were also avoiding full exploration. Meaning their rate of picking up samples was quite low.

No, it's not. But that is also why the game has NINE DIFFICULTY SETTINGS. 6 below is casual. 7 above is for those who want an actual challenge and to feel like they achieved something great.

10% orbital cooldown may not sound like much, but that's 10% more Railcannons, and having Orbital Airburst on 108s CD is basically an out to every bug breach.

Modules really matter, and a number of them transform the stratagem. Full upgrade Gatling Barrage is a VERY different weapon from starter Gatling Barrage.

Yeah, some of the upgrades really boost the viability of certain builds.

As you were saying, the flamer can wipe out all of the fodder & chargers for your entire team, with extreme ease, 6+ chargers? Not a problem, 4s for each and they are all dead, everything else dies while you're not even looking to the lingering flames.

BUT.

It really struggles vs Titans.

having that extra 500kg bomb, and faster rearming makes a huge difference for such a build.

Enemies spawning out of thin air post patch is not a skill issue on the player's behalf

Just because they made the game, doesn't mean they are good at the game. Skill issue dayo.

It's true that... often when people complain, even if it seems legit (using arguments), it's "skill issue" I don't like being negative or anything like that, but it is true! They had bad time and complain... I complain too and moan, but I don't do it on forum LOL! xD

Always try to get better OFC, and you gotta do a bit of research to do that, so you know how things work! :3

It's OK to complain... but too much can affect you negatively, and doing it on forum opens up for trolls to attack you! :<

Also, I don't like trolling or people harassing or wanting people to feel bad! :(
We have a bad time and sometimes let things get out of control and complain on forum, but wanting them to feel worse is just making everything worse for everyone, let's try to be comforting instead, OK? :3♥

Dont know wht the problem is ? we was doing Helldiver 9 difficult all day long today and we did it very good, we need Helldiver 10 difficult for sure we splited up the one match 2x2 teams and me and the other buddy got over 20 titans we had to kill, i think at the end we killed like 26 titans at our side and it was nightmare but it was somehwo fun. We finished the mission easy.

the thing is allone you do hit and run against a titan if you dont have heavy hitting weapons, but together with another player a titan is easy droped.

We was even killing us by porpose, then i did my revenge and killed a mate with the drop pot :D come on guys, i did not sweat hard in this difficulties, the harmonie in the group have to be right and people have to play together this is the key that make the game very easy.

Well, what else can you say to the 10th thread in a day you read complaining about railguns not piecing armors, from people who don't realize, or don't have the motor skills to properly charge their shots to pierce heavy armor?

I mean, sometimes no arguments are necessary, sometimes it really is just a skill issue.

I mean, the devs have the data, they can see plenty of people are steamrolling over dif9 as if it was nothing, long before we had access to mechs, long before we had access to all of the weapons they had planed to help out the playerbase, the overall power level of even the base weapons & stratagems is probably much higher than they'd like, and at the same time, a few players can't seem to be able to do what all of the other players are doing with ease, if it's not a skill issue, then what is it? What would they expect us to say when they compain about 4 chargers chasing them shortly after you left a game in which you erased 6 for your team in less than 30s 3 times in the same match?

I mean, the game has nine difficulty levels, nobody is forcing you to play on the 9th, if you don't find challenge to be fun, you don't have to engage with it, just go down to wherever you feel like you can have fun, instead of trying to take away the best game mode from other people. We're not intruding into your games, telling you how they should be played, you're intruding into ours.

I'm certain they do 7 for the samples and not for the challenge lol.
