HOW DOES THE SOS BEACON STILL NOT WORK

IT WAS LITERALLY ONE OF THE MAIN SELLING POINTS OF THE TRAILER AND A MONTH LATER IT STILL DOESNT WORK, OUT OF THE 140 HOURS IVE PLAYED IVE NEVER HAD 1 PLAYER JOIN FROM A SOS BEACON, I HAVE TO RESET THE GAME COMPLETELY EVERY SINGLE TIME SOMEONE LEAVES BECAUSE THE GAME WILL NEVER FIND ANYONE AGAIN UNLESS I CLOSE THE GAME

In all seriousness here's what happens, I boot up the game, choose a mission, 3 people join instantly. We play through the mission, beat it, at the end say 2 people leaves. I choose a new mission, wait a couple minutes, no one joins. I start the mission anyway, throw a sos beacon, complete the mission in 20-25 minutes without a single join. It does this until i close the game and start it up again, rinse and repeat. Just played 3 games with only 2 people today and the sos beacon hasn't found 1 person in that amount of time. So yes, it's not working properly.

Is your lobby set to public or friends only?

Lobby defaults to friends only. Fix that.

I've been having the same thought. I thought it was just nobody joining my mission. But I can't even find a match through quickplay.

Well, people join me mid mission even if I don't drop the beacon
I assume that the matchmaking is ping oriented, so it probably joins you to the lobby with the least possible latency
Hence maybe you're too high ping for the people that play at the same time as you do, Idk

I AGREE I HAVE ONLY HAD IT WORK AFTER THE MISSION I WAS ON LET 2 OR 3 MISSION LATER WHEN I DIDN'T EVEN PUT ANOTHER DAY AND RANDO WILL SHOW UP. .. now to talk to normal ppl. ya i believe it not working as intended for sure. or maybe just not that many ppl quick que. who know.

is not even hosting the game makes you close the game sometimes even to join people have to restart game lol.....there shld be a button that makes us reconnect instead of closing the whole game

I'm also having this experience. once someone leave, very rarely does it get filled again, but if i restart the game and host again, its instantly filled.

i never noticed any difference from using the beacon or not.

I want to play this game, but I don't have friends who play, how can I play without being solo if SOS apparently doesn't work?
