No macro stuff needed. Personally I'd regard that as cheating and taking the fun/skill out of the game.
The devs have been making games with this concept for years, originally it was with Magicka (where button pressed equalled different elements for spells), and then to Helldivers
Sounds like you need faster fingers, I can dial in a whole ass 380mm barrage in the time it takes for me to touch the ground during a dive.
that or its the entire point of arrowhead games, did you play magicka?
It's literally a QTE and you're trying to macro it? I've heard a lot of ways for someone to say they're bad without saying it, but that's a new one.
I see many people listing 'git gud' and that nonsense. I run primarily Helldive difficulty with a very high success rate and have far more hours than most of you. The problem is I had to remap my up-down keys off my WASD so I could move while typing. This means I have to remove my hand from the mouse and hit the arrow keys while kiting. Meanwhile, I join public groups and I see people insta-call down tons of stuff. Most people ARE using macros, don't fool yourself with your naive love for the devs.
I will buy a macro keyboard/mouse soon but just thought I could get people to agree this is a bad design forcing players to take their hand off the mouse. Maybe we all just agree to play with 1 hand for the next difficulty level? Scouts honor! Pfftt, cheaters all be saying 'git gud'
