Game should advertise Macro Mouse/Keyboard required in Adverts
The whole up, up, down, left, right, down, left mechanic while you are being hounded by countless enemies is a product of controller play AKA console.

They disable autohotkey with their anti-cheat software that allows M&KB players to have a decent chance of calling in reinforcements, airstrikes in a reasonable amount of time.

So the only macro users are Keyboards, Mice with macros built-in and of course Steam Deck which the anti-cheat deems just fine.

Sony and Arrowhead should just simply put in their store page "To play properly, bring your own macro makers" That would at least be honest.

I see many people listing 'git gud' and that nonsense. I run primarily Helldive difficulty with a very high success rate and have far more hours than most of you. The problem is I had to remap my up-down keys off my WASD so I could move while typing. This means I have to remove my hand from the mouse and hit the arrow keys while kiting. Meanwhile, I join public groups and I see people insta-call down tons of stuff. Most people ARE using macros, don't fool yourself with your naive love for the devs.

I will buy a macro keyboard/mouse soon but just thought I could get people to agree this is a bad design forcing players to take their hand off the mouse. Maybe we all just agree to play with 1 hand for the next difficulty level? Scouts honor! Pfftt, cheaters all be saying 'git gud'

You only partially right in the regard that the default keybinds are bad, which puts PC players at an unfair disadvantage that the game isn't designed for. Change your call in keys to the arrow keys, and you'll be able to move whilst calling in strikes, same as console.

No macro stuff needed. Personally I'd regard that as cheating and taking the fun/skill out of the game.

The challenge of typing things in correctly under pressure is part of what makes helldivers, helldivers. Using a macro takes away from that

The devs have been making games with this concept for years, originally it was with Magicka (where button pressed equalled different elements for spells), and then to Helldivers

Sounds like you need faster fingers, I can dial in a whole ass 380mm barrage in the time it takes for me to touch the ground during a dive.

It's only hard at first and it get easier the more you do it. Soon you won't even think calling most strategems when you want to call them in. A lot of them are the same from the first game.

After awhile muscle memory kicks in, so no big deal for me anyways. I don't macro takes away the immersion of the stress of battle. I also have my camaera shake all the way up.

that or its the entire point of arrowhead games, did you play magicka?

I've never said this before, but literal skill issue

Actual for real skill issue
This is entirely a skill issue. You need to have brain damage to be unable to develop muscle memory needed to call in reinforcements or your favorite stratagem.

It's literally a QTE and you're trying to macro it? I've heard a lot of ways for someone to say they're bad without saying it, but that's a new one.

On a controller you can use one thumb, maybe a thumb and index finger if you claw grip to enter a code. On keyboard with the standard WASD setup, you can use three fingers comfortably and much faster.

Is it possible to use macro? I thought Game Guard doesn't allow to do it.
