Golums defending devs will call you name if you're not happy with the patch.
Devs will call you name as well, as they already did.
The fight can't be won. Dev's aren't your friend, and their statement are explicit, no matter the "corporate speech". Their acts correlate their bad behavior.
"ThE mEtA CaRrIeD yOu To DiFfIcUlTiEs YoU aReN't rEaDy FoR"
This is their sandwich and we can either eat it (play how they intended) or go on to the next game. The current game is half-baked, unbalanced and accidentally fun. It's great but also it isn't. The distinct lack of a clear road map should be telling.
I want the game to be great. I want it to be fun. I wish them the best. But there's a reason the original game had a max concurrent player count of around 10k. Trying to recreate the same balance of the original game in a sequel is not the game I want to play. It is what it is. Hubris isn't a quality I want in a developer team. Not my circus, not my monkeys.
Hell-o, Divers! I wanted to take a moment this afternoon to let you all know that we've heard your concerns over the last few days regarding enemy spawns, enemy armor, and the ability to kill these enemies. As we've said before, our teams are always taking in player feedback and looking at how we can tweak the game to ensure that it is fair, enjoyable and provides the best experience for everyone.
I can confirm that we're currently looking at changes to the spawn rates and health pools of heavy enemies, and will be attempting to spread them out more to prevent large spikes of tougher mobs appearing at the same time, as well as making them a bit easier to bring down. This change should go out in a future hotfix - no date as of yet.
In addition, we forgot to mention (oops) that the EAT-17 and Recoilless Rifle no longer suffer from a 50% damage decrease when hitting an armored enemy at a 'glance angle' that deflects the shot. Combined with the upcoming adjustment to health and spawn rates, this should make the larger enemies a bit less common, instead spawning more 'chaff' enemies to support them, and should allow players to bring these enemies down with a single well-placed shot. Hopefully this leads to less instances of endless kiting and players being left without any effective weaponry to kill harder enemies.
Thanks as always for your patience!
Oh. Ok.
Wait. How do we get in when the discord is full? How do we read those messages from the outside?
They posted a teaser for the new warbonds here on steam but can't also include this special, top secret, discord exclusive message?
WHY are they doing this over the DISCORD server!? Do they not know they can use steam and other more official methods to communicate or you know...PUT THE CHANGES IN THE PATCH NOTES!?!?!? Instead of hiding them? That was always a option. This was a dev issue, not a player issue, they could have been upfront about with their patch notes and announcements because using discord as the only official way to communicate is a terrible idea. Also I have been trying to join the discord and constantly getting the "server full" message, either way this was not a very well done patch.
Sorry but that is not a excuse at all. They are a company selling a product, they are taking money ($40 to $60 is not cheap) in exchange for a game, a game that includes micro-transactions, they are going to be judged based on their product and behavior as a company. Releasing a patch that makes the game more buggy and then not being upfront about everything in the patch is not good behavior from a game dev company, small or not.
