well serious answer i use it to have fun maybe use it couple times before ditching it.
but yeah right now the mech its just like good for holding position or assaulting big bases, but from what i heard that rocket devastator can kill this mech quite easily, a chaff unit can kill our high tier equipment
10 min cooldown also sounds ok, else everyone would be constantly spamming mechs.
Pretty useless against bots tho
I wish aiming was better too, it puts you so much far back you can barely see anything
Yeah it kind of is :S
And you can't reliably clear enemies that are close to you, so they just come up and bite yo ass
A big part of being a helldiver is that you and everything on you is expendable. You're supposed to have equipment that makes you feel strong and then you die anywhere cause you get overconfident lmao.
20k is a lot relatively to other stratagems. I think the previous max was 10k. It has 2 uses too, so people wouldn't spamm it.
It goes down in like 2 bot rockets
All in due time. Use it, don't use it. Just enjoy the game and continue blasting away at the enemies of Super Earth.
its a lot if youre a casual player. Like if you got suckered into the jump pack or the gas strike. Doesnt matter if youre max level tho
A big issue is that I used it in a lvl 3 mission and it was just....kinda bad. Huge target, slow, and low HP. At starting mission levels it shouldn't need extensive ship upgrades. The default mech should be "good enough" against low bot pops and low tier enemies. If it could tank 4 rockets or be repaired I think that'd be a good balance before any upgrades needed in the higher levels.
1. The mechs out run enemies, I've tested it only with the bugs but I was able to walk away from patrols chasing me and they couldn't catch up. I did make sure to kill the hunters, because they do have potential to close a short gap with their flight.
2. You can melee with the F key, the mech does a stomp. There might be a bug preventing you from doing this however, I had that happen during one of the my missions.
3. The gun does work, I've manged to use 1k rounds to clear a good amount of enemies through burst fire, often picking off the tougher but not heavily armored bugs with it.
4. This is more of an opinion, the rockets always go where the aiming reticle goes, i found it to be easy to aim where I wanted it.
Some notes: I notice the shield bubble from the backpack covered the front of the mech, this might help combat it's low HP pool against bots though I have not tested it.
the ship upgrades at best turn stratagems into how they should be rather than buff them.
i honestly dont know how you can say "just wait" and "enjoy it" in the same breath
