AC is this good: Soloing heavy automaton base within about 1 min at diff-9
0:00-0:40 inspecting and showing the base at a distance
0:41-1:40 demolishing the base and high value targets.
1:41-2:08 removing turret tower (a friendly gesture to teammates if doing a team game)

There were a lot of mistakes, and someone better at this game can definitely do it faster with less aggro.

This is how powerful autocannon is. Pre-nerf railgun was weak in comparison.

He's using the #1 meta in the game, using light/medium armor for the endless sprinting. I keep saying stamina/speed is the real meta and needs to be toned down.

It's good, and justifiably so because of the backpack requirement and crouched reload. Railgun has none of those.

What's strange is all the firing and even stratagem use and somehow you didn't aggro the cannon, usually those things lock on to you ASAP and pew you from 200m away.

Problem is you need a teammate carrying the backpack to really make the AC shine, and that's never going to happen in quickplay.

I don't think it usually draw their attention unless 1.) you are right in front of it, 2.) you shoot at/near it, 3.) when there is heavy aggro on you or some bots light a flare (?).

I am not sure even if the third will draw turret's aggro. Probably it was just the stray bullets that caught their attention.

The devs would actually have to spend longer than five minutes to nerf AC ammo.

Can't change the backpack count without a new model. Can't change the capacity by -1 without ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the double mag setup. Can't change the mag capacity by -1 without having to recode the 'fill at 5 ammo' gimmick.

They will probably just nerf damage, penetration rating vs light armor like fat spitters/walkers, and make the handling and recoil even worse (the autofire mode is basically unusable on the autocannon even against a stationary target. even with recoil reduction crouched armor)

But ammo capacity? huge ammo is here to stay unless they are actually willing to pay a developer to do their job right the first time.

Don't worry, this weapon will never become the FOTM.

It requires skill, timing, aiming, and you can't use a shield with it.

Feel free to display all the videos in the world absolutely crushing max difficulty solo and with teams using it, the people complaining are never going to be able to do the same.

Different gun, different role. AC relies completely on hitting weakspots for everything. If you can't get to the weakspot the shell bounces on everything past medium armor. Railgun goes through any armor and breaks it while allowing you to be mobile.

It will always be because you need to move around the map and can't facetank anything in heavy armor anyway. If anything, heavy armor needs a mobility buff because playing it is miserable.

Sounds like someone died quite a bit to get us footage to show something we already know, Autocannon is great at blowing up bug holes and bot plants. No one used a Railcannon for this, I hope not at least. Does nothing lol

If they do end up nerfing something, aside from fixing the potential Charger armor bugs, I hope its the total ammo capacity instead of damage / pen. A gun this good has no business having near-infinite ammo. Or buff Spear / Recoilless ammo. I dunno.

Naah, they are dumb as brick. Likely bugged. You can walk in front of them and most of the time they won't aggro. Then sometimes they blast you from across the map because reasons.

True. If there is a bile titan, I can hardly do anything with AC except using other stratagems. I wish they will rebuff railgun a bit to make it good for anti-heavy role again. I like diverse meta.

Yes, I was trying to capture a good hulk 2 hits kill evidence for another thread. Good distance, clear footage. I died a lot because I drew a lot of attention to get hulk to spawn. I don't play solo ordinarily anyway I just want to capture footage to prove to someone you can 2 hit kill hulks lol :P

Good catch didn't even notice that, I'm sure he beat the mission with 1 life left :D Afterall he had the most OP meta in the game, sprint/stamina.
