Had this weird bug where my pc would shut down while playing the game and was wondering if that was fixed in anyway if anyone had the same issue

that would happen either due to overheat, or your psu being over taxed.
you can "fix" it yourself by either lowering the power management setting on your pc (balanced is usually fine, but depend on the scenario) so that it limit the turbo/automatic overclock.

or you can use something like rivaturner to limit the fps of the game slightly under what your normally at so that it doesnt pull everything it can from your machine.

edit: the ingame frame limiter (not vsync but the fps limit), was bugged at some point, i dont know if that was fixed, but it used to make the cpu spin a hell lot for nothing while "limting" the frame.

the game "problem" is that it has a tendency to pull all it can from cpu and gpu. which in turn will stress your machine in a way thats not common.

Forgot to mention that my temps were all good as i could play till i finished the mission and was on the screen showing all the players. I dont believe the issue is with the PSU either as ive checked and i def have enough power

well, something is failing somewhere. might be worth checking the windows events log, might be some indication of whats failing in here.

but usually full shutdown with no bluescreen is overheat or an issue with power.

That's a problem with your PC, not a problem with the game.

Like i said all is fine any other game has no issues. Played many recent games that are more crazy than this and this is the only one with this issue that is why im checking if this was fixed in any way as it just the games problem i dont believe there is any here

Dont have this problem with anything else so i dont believe that

even rootkit malware do not have the power to instant shutdown your pc, they could trigger a shutdown sure (a regular one), or trigger a bsod but straight up instant shutdown is a failsafe in the motherboard.

As i said, check the windows event log, if your lucky there might be mentions of what happening.

It doesn't really matter what you "believe"

The problem is with your PC, not the game.

Checked the windows event log with my friend who knows more there was nothing there that was relevant

Facts don't care if you believe them. They're still facts.

Your hardware has many, many built-in protections to prevent software from affecting it like that.

You would have to go very far out of your way and specifically write some very malicious code for it to shut down PC hardware like that. It's not something that happens accidentally or from poor programming. You have to be purposely creating malware.

So unless you think Helldivers 2 is actually a virus disguised as a game, then the problem is with your PC.

welp, then sorry, but the game dev must have found some exploit targeting your motherboard specifically and are using it to prevent you from playing. thats the only logical explanation left.

I mean sure you can say that but never happened before and never happened now. Only with this game
