Yeah, it's illogical to have a gun with the following in game description: "An experimental weapon which prioritizes armor penetration."
The rounds now bounce off of armor and hardly has any armor penetration. It's disappointing.
If that is the case for your squad, you probably play on difficulty you never should be at if you can't handle it without most overpowered weapon in game.
Safe Mode was never intended to punch through heavy armor. Your crutch is gone and now you have to learn to use Unsafe Mode or get better at aiming for weakpoints with Safe Mode.
Weakpoints.
That's literally in the description.
Although this requires having to learn to aim.
Yeah good luck tring to shot down the legs of a charger now with safe mode.
Maybe their whole squad should hold R and overcharge the railgun to penetrate armor.
