It's us vs them.
Do you stream, may I see you solo 9?
Games are built for the majority not the minority.
In a PvP game both players can balance broken content by using the same weapons, mobs don't do that.
The highest difficulty is meant for the minority.
Are you having issues on dif5?
That's true, but I still don't see myself bringing the flamethrower nor the laser canon. Just tried the laser canon and meh.
And why might that be?
But if you think like the railgun is broken, then don't use it, same for the energy shield and so on. Get a group of friends and play the way you want.
And you played 166h of Helldiver since it came out 4 weeks ago. That's basically 40h a week. Some of us can't put that much time into the game.
I was enjoying 9 yesterday, today not so much.
Don't feel it's worth it tbh. There's better gun to bring to the fight.
"This is not a PVP game" is such a dumb statement, you can justify anything with it. For instance, in Risk of Rain 2, too many people justify literally cheating(editing game files to gain an advantage over the game) by saying "It's a coop game, so why do you care so much?".
If you play with other people, it doesn't matter that "this is not a PVP game", as anything you do affects the experience of the people you play with, and vice versa. If 80% players I play with used the same OP meta gear, I imagine it would get boring, since I'll always have the feeling that I'm being carried and not performing as well as I could have if I had the same meta loadout every time, thus impacting my experience and making the game harder to enjoy.
I mean find some friends and play the game the way you want man. Let the others enjoy it the way they want. There's no trophy at the of the day. Relax my dude
Design-wise it's meant for most people to play on 5-6 whether it be in a squad or solo, that's the regular difficulty level they work for the majority of the playerbase to complete. Everything above that should be a challenge as a team let alone solo, or did you forget the whole point of what difficulty modifiers actually do in a game?
