I think the problem people have is that they are seriously trying to kill EVERYTHING they see.
I see people doing that a lot. Sometimes the best strategy is to run far and run fast. I don't understand why people seem to think they should be able to wipe out the massive number of enemies they have on higher difficulties. You are a squad of 4 going against thousands of enemies. You aren't supposed to be able to win every situation like that.
There are a lot of players right now who seem to think they can only run Helldive (Tier 9). I was mainly speaking on them going from T9 to T8, or T7. I don't think the changes have been significant enough to make T7 much more difficult than it was.
They were expecting us to clear Helldive, but Helldive still wasn't really that bad if you had the equipment. It didn't feel like the grueling challenge it should've been. Maybe it's harder now than it should be, I won't deny that, I haven't tried it, but a lot of people are complaining that Helldive is unplayable, and I'm saying that they should just move down to T8 or T7. I never want to be the guy that says "skill issue", but unless you're playing solo (which I understand is the playstyle for some but is not at all what this game is and should be based and balanced around. This is something every solo player should have known when purchasing a co-op game.), T6/7 shouldn't be that bad. I played T8 last night and it was just fine.
That aside, it's not even the issue with this patch. If it was JUST the nerfs stated in the patch notes, helldive would still be fun.
They also stealth nerfed:
Player armor
Shield HP
Basically, they turned players from paper towels into tissue paper, unless you wear heavy armor, then you're more like printer paper, but also good luck getting away from the swarm.
Hell Dive should be more stuff to blow up, instead now it is. Don't fight this, or kite this away from the objective!
It is boring, tedious, and takes away from the game overall. And that is why it is losing players, and will keep bleeding it because these developers don't understand what makes this game fun it seems.
That's a valid gripe. To be fair, this game was never built for solo. BUT, it's also a popular playstyle and should be at least somewhat viable on somewhat higher difficulties. Unfortunately I think solo's are going to naturally catch strays with these patches because the game can't (and shouldn't be) balanced around them.
I was unaware of the other stuff, that is unfortunate.
People ask the developers on here for better in-game moderation options because of how there's a lot of hosts just kicking entire teams from lobbies just before extraction comes in and everyone's response on here is "Lol. Git Gud. Skill Issue. You're lying and it's actually your fault. There'll be people abusing the system in a different ways. Host your own lobby if you don't wanna get kicked so badly."
But they nerf 2 guns ever so slightly and these same people have a meltdown and say the game is unplayable even though 1) Railgun nerfs only apply to Safe Mode and 2) They buffed a ♥♥♥♥ ton of other stuff including making the Flamethrower able to melt Chargers.
I mean, I guess so. Honestly, that's an incredibly fair and understandable opinion, but I don't think it ruins the game. I'd just play on T8 where I can do the blowing up easier.
