Flamethrower actually insane vs chargers

It still can be depending on your reaction time to dive, honestly I'm glad the flamethrower can melt chargers, haven't gotten to try myself yet but if my assumption from the notes holds out then good, the FT is back on the menu.

I think the notes say that the rate of damage from weapon fire was increased.

Yes.

It was already very much usable on dif9 against anything that wasn't a titan, chargers were very easy to deal with once you got use to the slow movement of flamers.

50% stronger makes it sound like it's insane vs chargers now, weak spots also seem much weaker than before, I'm guessing it must take less than 5s to burn a charger if you aim properly?

Kinda makes me want to try it against titans as well, but I didn't have good experiences back then.

Flamers are good against chargers, but not quite as good on trash as they should be. Too many things just casually walking through the fire to shoot their shot than I care for.

The flame dot is good but the core damage of the flamer itself hasn't changed. So just lighting the charger up and giving it a moment will get the job done.

You can melt a charger in about a full canister of fuel; feels very nice. Doesn't feel overpowered like blasting all its armor off with a rifle either. I'm loving this patch.

the dot is better apparently, tho bugs will still just jump through the fire and kill you so the weapon is ♥♥♥♥ vs groups if they are after you, but the chargers die super fast if you just aim at their legs

If you land the stream of fire directly at the bugs, they die insanelly fast, faster than any other weapon, faster than automatic shotguns as well.

The issue is that the fire DoT left behind really doesn't do crap.

indeed, its completely working the opposite wayas it should, trash and medium bugs will just walk up to you and destroy you while being on flames, chargers get killed super easy, makes no sense.

I once played with a random guy named Timmy Tumor or something like that who would dive underneath titans and spew flames on their fleshy bits. Quite the sight.

Clearly unintended, they buffed the flame, the dot, all by 50%, it's more than an 50% dps inrease overall, it should be nerfed fast.

No offense but I'm pretty sure this didn't happen since the Flamer does not have the range to reach a Titan's belly unless you're on a very elevated surface that the titan happens to be walking over.
