This is somehow something a lot of people are missing, have none of the people liking the nerf actually played with it or something?
Going to be repeating what I said in another thread but yeah I also agree the Railgun needed a tweak, it was too effective in safe mode but the change done to it now is simply waaaaay too much in the other direction.
The change the Railgun could/should have gotten was safe mode still penetrating heavy armor(its the whole purpose of the weapon!) but needing somewhere around 4-5 shots to take off the leg or body armor on a Charger. Then make the unsafe mode behave as it used to do, 2-3 shots(based on charge level) to remove the armor.
With how it is now, needing ~4 unsafe shots just to get rid of the armor is such a massive risk for relatively low reward. If you do blow up, you die but even worse is that the Railgun itself blows up and its not available until you can call down another one.
With such a extreme risk like "oh now you do not have a support weapon lol!" the reward should honestly be more like 1 tapping the armor with a high charge shot, not 3-4.
