I'm using it against bots, together with AM rifle, on 7+.
It works perfectly good.
LEARN IT ALREADY, THERE ARE NOT ONLY BUGS AS OPPONENTS HERE
Might be a waste of time vs bug spam, but a good time on bots.
Even as a "These guys are better vs bots" team member, counter sniper is trash deflecting off of robots skulls right in the middle of the max zoom crosshair. Shots you could actually make no problem with the basic marksman.
Stop making me ashamed to point out more guns are better vs bots with your nonsense. counter sniper is actual garbage unless you think using bad guns on purpose "owns the meta slaves"
Nope I use the JAR-5 Dominator against the tin cans, it works quite well.
Double dipping on the range options? i think the machine gun pairs well with the counter sniper myself.
It's not quite that bad when you know what design space it's going for but it needs a bit more going for it. It's supposed to be a bit more focusing into a ranged role as compared to the regular, but could still use some buffs. Seeing as how there's plausibility of getting a medium-armor-penetration rifle later, maybe the solution for this is to just lower heft and raise damage a tad.
I double dip, because I play in a team with voice comms, I'm picking out critical threats and clearing explorable POIs from range while they deal with heavy stuff in front.
