Again, samples shouldn't be gated by difficulty
I still fully believe that samples shouldn't be gated by difficulty. They should just be easier to find the higher difficulty you go.

Hell, if you want, make it so Super Samples don't show up in the collected menu until they have collected them. That way they don't have to even show up every time. I don't care.

But blocking people from being able to unlock everything, unless they play a difficulty they may not even want to play is meh.

7 is not that difficult.

There are plenty of people where it is too difficult. Or they simply don't like it. Not everyone likes super stressful situations all the time.

And don't tell me "But the game was meant to be a challenge", because than why difficulties at all? Go full souls and have 1 difficulty.

Why do you care if other people are bad? Helldivers 1 didn't gate progression behind difficulty. All you're doing is flaming people who'd rather play the game a different way.

You want the best ship upgrades? Play the higher difficulties.. Tired of people crying for participation rewards. If you play the lower difficulites you DON'T NEED the samples anyway because anything can clear the lower ones.

Agreed. They should be increasingly more available the higher you go. The game should encourage people to push themselves to higher difficulties naturally. People who think that there HAS to be a tangible in-game mechanical reward for clearing maximum difficulty are toxic to the game's environment, because they don't represent the core audience of the game.

Cosmetics/achivements for clearing hardest difficulty missions? Sure. In-game advantages? hell no.

So they can play as long as it takes them to get better and go to 7.
I've completed multiple 7 ops with people below level 10 who listened to commands.

Yet here you are crying that others aren't catering to your designs. Last I checked, you didn't own arrowhead.

Really, it's not hard. It's just tedious and given the choice many people would rather grind their samples on lower levels. I grinded out super samples but I didn't enjoy the challenge. I can complete missions on Helldive. So what? There wasn't even a trophy/achievement for doing one on Helldive. Just because you can do something doesn't mean it's fun to do repeatedly. For me, once it's done, it's done. I have no desire to keep doing it unless I unlock something that makes it noticeably easier and more fun (like Genocide/Pesticide guns on the old EDF games).

I must admit I haven't yet breached beyond difficulty 5 yet, but I have no issue with rarer samples being obtainable only through higher difficulties. Seems a natural progression as you get better to begin earning better loot.

Well 5 is still ok, you can still use majority of the weapons without problem, as you go higher the meta is anti tank and you are heavily encouraged into same loadout till it just becomes unfun.

If they can't play at the difficulty to get the super sample for the upgrades, then they won't need those upgrades.

if you had to play at that difficulty to obtain them, you never needed them to begin with?

No it's not, because it forces scrub to play on the harder difficulty and makes it harder for you to clear it. Durr.
