Bot drops
Bug breaches are usually pretty logical. 1 bug will try to call in the swarm and if you kill them another will try. No problems here boss.
I just did a mission on bots where I wiped a whole squad and all of a sudden bot drop. What?
In the distance 600m+ away, a bot shot a flare. How did he hear the shots, how did he see me. I was behind a massive monolith of stone I had to walk around just to see the flare in the sky.
Feels contrived.

A comissar will always shoot a flare if alerted, just like the patrol of bugs that finds you and starts calling for back up when being turned into past tense. If enemies spot you and are fighting you, there's a radius that enemies become alerted too.

That's how I see things. Could be wrong.

That's a weird way of saying "coded." 100% of every video game is contrived.

I'm not that smart with that kind of stuff, all I learned in Helldiver is shoot anything non-democratic.

Jokes aside, I can't really tell how could that happen. Maybe there's youtube videos giving deeper detail of each enemy.

AI hivemind threat alert system? maybe when too many bots are alerted by players, it pings a nearby bot on the local wireless network to send out an emergency flare. idk.
bot drops feel way harder to prevent than bug breaches

I have yet to see a bug breach OR bot drop successfully stopped.

But I have taken down a ton of bot dropships with the Recoilless Rifle, so I suppose that kind of stops them.

you dont have a lot of time for it but its possible to stop either. bot drops are harder imo because the squad leader guy will generally call for one faster than bugs will call for a breach. i think thats why several bug types can call for breaches but only one bot can call for drops.

Multiple times, I've poleaxed the bug that's just barely starting to spray breach pheromones, and the breach still happens. I'm not sure what the time window is to kill that little bastard between them visually starting to call for the breach and t being past the point of no return, but it's insanely short.

This literally happened to me and my buddy when we were playing lol. We saw bot drop detected and the ship was dropping in from literally across the map no exaggeration. The bots alertness doesnt make sense sometimes. Same thing with being fully behind cover lying down and somehow they still see you even though they werent alerted. The bots really need their awareness fixed
