Tesla Tower...
Chaining through you or your squad mates is one thing but I do not understand why this thing can target and activate off of it's owner. It's pretty good when it doesn't instakill you or one of your squad but not good enough to justify it being able to activate off of your team.

I do not even use it as a single charger will just destroy it.

I believe you can avoid its effects by going prone. It’s fantastic at crowd control

Doesn't the description of this thing basically tell you "either stand back or go prone right next to it"?

If the tower is on an incline and your prone position is higher than the base, you're still gonna get zapped.

I found that out the hard way.

This is true, I just don't understand why it's so bad. It has similar if not the same health as the other stratagems meaning it gets one-tapped by chargers (even though it's a close rage cc weapon??) and it instakills my teammates if they don't know about it making it hard to use it reliably so I usually only run it solo. I hope there is some optional suit upgrade/booster/armor perk which reduces lightning damage because I would really like to be able to use this thing more often since it's cool.

One of the many useless strategems. Basically, when playing with pubs, you should never use it.

Actually one of the best turret stratagems, let me explain:

1. Faster cooldown than other turrets (2:30 min vs 3 min)
2. It has insane synergy with all aoe stratagems, and works best with EMS Strike, Gas Strike, or Napalm/Fire based attacks.
3. Massive distraction against bugs, who will turn and target the turret. This will give you precious seconds to run away/set up with your team.

Though I wouldn't really go prone next to it, even if you don't get zapped being next to the turret that enemies want to destroy just means you're closer to the intended target. Plus, this is the assumption that this is against bugs, not bots. Bring something ranged like mortars against those guys instead.

I would just use it as a distraction when you are dealing with a lot of hunters and need to get away. It might need an attack rate buff since every other turret has better range, making them less vulnerable to damage.

Tesla, 380mm, mortar and mines. Yeap, its coop time. But seriously tesla is my go to if i play solo, it dont aggro enemies like offensive stratagems so you can easily draw them from POI or objective.

Why shouldn't it zap you (the player)? Everything in Helldivers just screams "people are expendable". So it is natural to get zaped by the tesla tower.

I think there is a lot to this tower, if you care to think about the right place to put it. But usually, player don't bother too much, because there are easier ways.

I would be inclined to agree if it didn't die instantly to Chargers and Hulks, the friendly fire aspect is fine but on 8+ it makes it completely unusable because it's a close range weapon.
