Kinda disappointed with the Sniper rifles.
I like the whole Ranger playstyle with the jetpack, high maneuverability, and long range firepower. Using the sniper rifles in-game is a sort of love hate relationship where some matches I do great in it but others its damage output(mostly dealing with armored targets) feels lack luster compared to the other options.

It really does seem to be outdone but other, more "meta" weapons. Which is disappointing. There should be some sort of anti tank rifle, with high damage and armor pen but at the expense of mobility, long reload times, and horrible handling. Something you can set up in a high place with the combination of the jet pack.

The fact that the counter sniper doesn't have medium armor pen is WILD to me.

Yeah sniper rifles need a major damage boost. They should be almost as powerful as the anti material rifle. as is stands now, an smg is far superior in every way to any of the snipers

Not entirely sure, but I would say more snipers are probably on the way, and they might become stronger with future balances

Do not take this as fact, these are just guesses based on how we know there is more coming content.
If I can count correctly (I am both dumb and have bad eyesight) atleast 14 more main weapons are incoming.

counter sniper imo should do at minimum 200 damage, and have medium armor pen. but as it sits right now I can use it with relative success.

The slugger is unironically the best marksman weapon in the game. Has med armor pen, does damage comparable to the AMR with more than double the mag and way more shots while letting you use a better support weapon.

Not to mention that the slugger doesn't turn like a tank turret.

SO TRUE, why oh god why did they give the counter sniper heavy handling lmao. That weapon is so bad i doubt they actually playtested it

Actually the fact that the slugger exists as is and they still added the counter sniper in this state is the kind of stuff that makes me worry about how they decide stats for weapons in this game.

i had moments, where it took nearly 2 seconds after flinching from damage or from just turning around, until the Point was on target again. "Precision Rifle" is a mega LIE! Even the Stalwart or the heavy MG are more precise. How can smaller Arms be inferior to that Handling?

i am hoping that Weapon Mods will give us Handling, Laser Pointers and something against the Recoil, there is nothing precise about the 2 Precision Rifles. Damage is kind of ok, Penetration is by far not!

...but i truly like the concept! It is like with the Jar5 Dominator, which will make you blind through heavy recoil... Such a nice weapon, but pure trash as soon as you are under heavy fire.

Normally i am a fan of singleshot weapons in games, but even the Revolver has so much Handling Issues as soon as you scope out of First Person... and then you are punished for using it, because of the 7 Seconds Reload. WHO on their Team thought about weapons, which are viable in First Person only in such a HECTIC game?

Singleshot Weapons should ALWAYS shoot where the Crosshair is! Check the Handling of the Breaker for comparison! The Breaker shoots where you point it and has by far superior Stats on top of that!... as a heavy Shotgun.

a lot of weapons seem to be Fillers, this was never finished or the hopefully planned Modding should crank up a lot of Stats!

The amount of sway the sniper rifles have suggests they'd want the player to go prone and use the scope. Then you would set up on a plateau and wait for the big bugs to arrive as your team do the mission tasks. Great in theory if the sniper rifle packed a killer punch and there weren't 400 bugs or bots in your face. Seldom do you have a chance to stay prone for long.

And then you empty the mags on the big enemies and almost nothing happens because they are all armored and the counter snipe has no armor pen. It's a pointless weapon. It looks cool and I love snipers but it is unusable in this game after you try it out and the novelty of it wears off.

They still have stupid amounts of sway even when prone and the bullets don't go where you aim because zeroing makes no sense in first person.

This is in addition to having no penetration on any of them, including the anti-materiel rifle. If an anti-vehicle weapon can't even penetrate a Strider's faceplate with a single shot at a 90 degree angle then honestly what's the point?

I'm becoming more and more convinced that there wasn't one single person coordinating weapon design. I can't think of any other reason for gems like the breaker and slugger to exist in the same game as a lot of the other comparable weapons.

yeah hope they re-balance a lot of weapons as many are just not viable or comparable. And the sway while being so bad is just trolling.
