Bots: Scorcher - Redeemer - Impact Nades // 500kg - Laser - Shield - Railgun
Bugs: Scythe/Punisher/Breaker - Redeemer - Impact Nades // 500kg - Laser - Shield - EAT
Come back with stressful questions once you hit at least level 20 and you've unlocked everything.
Personally like the breaker as a primary, med-close range, good damage.
Every weapon is usable even at 9, its the loadout that need to make sense and be versatile in solo, or combine well with your team loadout.
Bugs/automatons require diff loadouts.
Experiment yourself
Every fast firing primary, for example Liberator / Defender / Sickle
Spewer (the green one) / Brood Commander / Hive Guard: Auto Cannon / Anti Material Rifle / Grenade Launcher
Charger: EAT / Recoilless Rilfe / Flame Thrower
Bile Titans: EAT /Recoilless Rifle / 500kg / precision strike
Or if you want to kill everything except Bile Titans, just get the Arc Thrower, ez win
But if you think our current weapons are useless you better git gud
The expendable anti-tank is a great choice for any heavy enemy. A single shot to the chargers face plate will kill it.
For hordes any of the eagle stratagems are decent. As they give you multiple uses before it goes on a 2:30 cool down, unlike orbitals that go on cool down straight away.
grenade launcher is decent, will let you close bug holes from long range and clear out tightly grouped enemies.
gatling sentry also great, sentries overall have a fairly short cool down.
Try scootin' and shootin' amigo ;)
They will keep calling more if you don't kill all the little ones quickly*
Stealth is an option even up in 7-8-9 difficulty <3 but running is essential everywhere XD
1. Ballistic Shield
2. Orbital Smoke Strike
3. Shield Generator Relay
4. Supply Pack
Primary: LAS-5 Scythe
Secondary: P-2 Peacemaker
Grenade: G-3 Smoke
For example, if you can aim then the Anti-Material Rifle is a S tier weapon against the Bots, but if you can't then it's B tier at best.
Your greatest weapon will always be positioning, finding ways to funnel/avoid enemies and create ideal encounters. That can make a D tier stratagem feel like an A tier. I would say more are viable than not, as long as you have a diversified loadout, or stick with/compliment your team (are they anti-armor heavy? try to keep the light buggers off of them, bring horde-clearing gear and EMS)
Remember, the higher difficulties are meant to feel hellish! Enjoy the chaotic fun
