Question about bug nests
Does it reduce the enemy frequency or breaches frequency to go out of our way to destroy them over doing the main objective? or is the only incentive the materials and xp u get there?

Nests/Bases cleared under 50% total do NOTHING to the patrol spawn rate, every one cleared after 50% DECREASES the timer for spawning new patrols (To a max of 17.5% I believe).

The main things that effect how quickly enemy patrols spawn are: Primary Objective (Reducing your CURRENT timer down to 1/4th of it's value), clearing Hive/Bases, and a funtacular random spawner disconnected from the main timer if you're close to a secondary, primary objective, or a major PoI, other things have no effect and there is no way to reduce patrol spawn timers, similar mechanic appears to be in play with player deaths.

Also one other major thing to point out, players appear to be grouped into pods when they're within 50-75m of each other, each pod has it's OWN patrol timer, so splitting up could = more patrols, at least from these guys testing on the matter

You just get extra materials and xp if you do them. Also they tend to have a lot of samples near them. Blowing up bug nests actually increases patrols on the map.

It can be worth it if they are near a "deal with this a while" objective or the extraction even with the ass backwards "More effort to map clear = more magic spawned from nothing patrols frequency"

Because they will still be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out normal reinforcements out the doors/nest holes on top of the subscription MMO magic spawns if they are in the same zipcode of your extract.

But yeah going out of your way for ones on the opposite side of the map (discounting every time 'pre drop all the big blobs are on this side!... just kidding they were on the other side' scrambles to reach the big bases in a blitz mission) just isn't rewarding even as a guy who likes blowing things up.

There are two very obvious special cases where you absolutely need to go close the nest: stalkers and shriekers.

For normal bugs (see the reddit post) it doesn't seem to do much except possibly increase the spawn of patrols after you've closed some.

Well....dunno the math, but:
Did a lvl 2 missi vs bugs the other day, just for chill and some sc. Destroyed all nests (what I usually do not do as rewards are meh) and went to extraction point. Activated the timer. Couple sec later one reinforcement spawn happend, killed it. After that...nothing. Not one single spawn till pelican landed, and also no patrol.
I know, lvl 2 blabla, but usually when I do these solo and just destroy 1-2 bugnests or ignore them completely I always get several spawns at extraction, at least more than just one.

Therefore I strongly believe that killing bugholes makes extraction at the end much easier.

It will reduce the Patrols in the Local Area of the map (that is where they spawn and will patrol to and from), if you clear out all the outposts they are forced to spawn on the edge of the map (or out of thin air nearby if you in flat open field with no cover).

And of course their are SAMPLES at every Outpost. Usually lots of Common ones or Rare ones.

But far as XP and Requisitions Goes, NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!
