BT = Immortal.
We had a Bile Titan follow us around for 20-ish-minutes, it had no poison sacks left and the abdomen was blown off.
He/it would get stuck on terrain and have to walk around giving us time to get away until it got stuck on the tall terrain and we would have to go get him.
  • We were walking a bile titan.. like a dog.

It still lived until it was collateral damage from another BT being blown-up, the legs of another BT is what finally killed it.
  • It didn't bleed out.
  • They dont bleed out.

What kind of living creature is this?
It doesnt make sense that it can survive being blown apart for 20 minutes just walking around the map with no problems or feeling no pain.
We think it moved even faster while busted-up.

Someone needs to check the AI for this bug, it was dead and it didnt know it.

Effectively the BT is an Automaton in bug skin.

This BT was blown apart.. in really bad shape..
  • It had no armor.. only exposed fleshy bits.
  • It was mostly a yellow color and its abdomen was gone.
  • None of its belly sacks were intact.
Yet it still walked around for 20-ish minutes without dying from internal failure.

I have seen some with their ass blown off charger style still roaming around for a solid five plus minutes seemingly immortal, as the team keeps killing new titans. So yeah I trust your claim of "20 minutes" as it was probably a long chase across a basic mission instead of camping out on the TCS.

Titans do feel like the devs favored their wacky damage model more than gameplay. With the usual "And then bugs happened" on top

We stopped keeping track after the 15 minute mark, because anything else would have been dead by then.
He stayed around with us for longer that, thats why the "ish", we wanted to complete the objectives.

One of the blokes asked "can we keep him?".
We were sad to confirm he died.

titan dont bleed out. blowing the sacks deal some reasonable amount of damage and stop the vomit, but on its own it will not kill a titan, you need some kind of AT to finish it off.

It is pretty miserable you can't finish the job with primaries.

Exposed heart and lungs because something bigger popped them open like a grape? Nah man you just hate realistic gameplay!... wait ♥♥♥♥-

(I used to love realism and immersion. But 99% of people claiming to only mean 'throw my magazine in the dirt like a cave man instead of pocket it' or 'hand cramps with grid paper maps because good UI makes me cry')

Oh yeah, sorry if i didnt make it aware that we know to kill it you need to use heavy hitters.

Had something similar happend yesterday but with a Automaton, the smallest of their unit. The guy was the only left after we attacked an outpost and me and my team mate were quite impress when we start unloading some bullets on him and he didn't die...
Then we started blasting him for good, full magazines, granades... he didn't care, he kept trying to attack us.
He died after 2 orbital rail cannon.
Yesterday the server did run like ♥♥♥♥ anyway, if it append recently, pretty sure it was because of that.

Took you a bit, but you reached the Democratic conclusion in the end. Live long and prosper, Helldiver.

Sounds like a coding bug, happens quite a bit, especially to automaton raiders that become literal immortals.

im dont think we have any biological map or whatever you want to call it, of the bile titan, but at least, from whats observed, the acid sacks are outside of the exoskeleton, the fleshy bit you see are just the bits that attach the sack to the bt and not its actual life substaining organs.

Now im sure it hurt like a ♥♥♥♥♥ to pop them, but it doesnt seem to be a life threatening injury to it.

There is something that happen now and then tho when exploding those sacks, and thats the entire back of the torso breaking off with it, when that happen it will bleed out just fine.

It didn't,
Everyone iv spoken to has never seen a BT bleed out.
There is no video of a BT bleeding out that i could find.

We had 20-ish minutes of having done the most damage we could to a BT and it didnt bleed out.
I saw it with my own eyes not die while looking like it should have already.

more often than not, it dies instantly when it happen. or within seconds. but that wont happen when you just shoot a titan with your primary, its back need to have been damaged by AT beforehand.

It doesnt even have the "smoke" effect like other Terminids to show its bleeding, because it isnt.

They are designed that way, being impervious to most damage, you can shoot the sac to deal some damage with conventional guns and stop it from spitting its acid, but you need AP to actually finish it off.
