The LAS-7 Dagger is low-key good
It's a pistol sidearm with infinite firing capabilities, stop acting like it needs to outperform a dam AR-23P Liberator Penetrator or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Railgun.

If that were it, I'd still be using it. But no, peacemaker genuinely has worse recoil and less ammo--both per mag and overall. Yeah, the laser sight would be worth trading the 1100 RPM for me, but not that other stuff.

I don't get why it has less recoil at all

It's actually like, absolutely stupid that it does

But we're talking about the same dev that added invisible walls because they couldn't just make the flying enemies a consistent threat to harass ppl who got onto things
Ontop of having added bug burrowing to get up there anyways?

(The bots need an actual flying threat tho' for this to be 100% valid as a criticism ngl)

senator is a joke weapon. it does half the dps and half the dmg per mag as the redeemer while being way more clunky to use.

Yes, it's bad. Even the devs have said its bad. The damage is barely worth 3 normal pistol bullets and the reload is atrocious. Even if you hit every shot it will still suck.

Citation on the dev thing?

I knew it was bad before I even saw this. It does not do enough damage to justify the reload or even the ammo count. Magnums are supposed to be powerful and this thing is nerfed as hell.

I mean, part of why people make fun of the senator because you CAN kill things with it, then have a huge wait to kill more things with it.

When I land six robot headshots with a senator in a row, hard to feel satisfied when my options are "Put it away empty" and "forget it exists for a while" as an objective scripted dropship dumps more enemies down. Unless you feel like giving the enemy a pity head start, by stopping to reload it first.

Now watch a game journalist in disguise rush in to post "Sounds like you just suck at aiming!" after mocking the lackluster feeling even KB+M headclick lifestyles have with the senator. ♥♥♥♥ crosshair and poorly designed ADS sight are probably a lot more rough in controller land.

i use the laser pistol dagger when i dont wanna reload, rock it with the repearter laser rifle, and the laser cannon plus the laser backpack to go full laser, add the orbital laser to complete the loadout

chill, you're getting weird now

I rarely use my pistol as is, why would I need infinite ammo?

People don't hate journalists enough honestly

I rly don't know why the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ADS is like that though I thought it was bugged but no it's legit just, supposed to be like that? lmao.

I pair it with faster firing weapons and just whip it out for hive guards if I'm inbetween reloads/overheats (You can shoot under their heads and basically cut their arms off to kill them even when they hunker down, medium pen not needed) depending on what I'm using honestly since I'm taking a long siesta from the bot front to be fair.

But ye thank u for the tweet fam.

Dagger is awful. Redeemer is way too good to ever replace.

I could see an argument for it if all we had was the base pistol and that awful senator revolver, because at least it's infinite ammo and doesn't make me hate the game when I reload it for 6 seconds straight, but the Redeemer does so much damage so fast It's like a second pocket liberator. If I get ambushed by a stalker, I just whip it out and shoulder fire it while i run away. It takes the whole clip and either dies or gets so damaged it runs away. Redeemer is insane.

I tried dagger, and the damage was so bad I decided reloading the primary was a better use of my time than ever trying to use it.

Senator's bad?
Sounds like user issue
(They need to make aiming it cancel the reload, though.)

I guess Redeemer is boring, but it's also a straight upgrade from the Peacemaker, so I use the upgrade. I'm looking forward to getting more weapon options, especially for secondaries.

True!
A lot of these things weren't thought out but I'm not really surprised a Swedish game dev knows 0 about guns and made a bullpup with a longer barrel do less damage than one with a shorter barrel.

American gun nut here:

There's 3 parts to ballistics, internal ballistics, external ballistics, and terminal ballistics.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Liberator penetrator versus the liberator. Longer barrel actually increases the amount of friction the projectile has to overcome through the barrel. This reduces velocity and therefore energy (internal ballistics). It's probably using solid core projectiles, which do not deform or "mushroom" as much when hitting a target. This increases penetration, but also reduces the size of temporary and permanent wound cavities created. Also, since the round does not deform and keeps a smaller profile, it does not impart as much of it's energy on the target. This is called kinetic transfer (terminal ballistics).

TL;DR you say they know nothing about guns, but it appears that they know more than you.

He says, not realizing Paul Harrell (among others) has compared barrel length and differences in muzzle velocity between the two which factors into it regardless? This would also depend on caliber but they're not really specific with that at all anywhere I've seen.

But yeah man, totally.

My favourite thing to do (before the arc weapons all started crashing the game) was to use the blitz shotgun followed by a burst of the dagger, and swap back over and over.

Quick swap of huge dps and sustained to finish of the little guys.
