Otherwise, it's pointless on difficulty 7+. You'll run out of reinforcements or time, especially if you have randoms on your team.
Many people simply don't know what they're doing and think way too much of themselves.
Just usual teenager, tryhards and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who don't give a f* (skill issue) not much you can do, sad i know.
Sidemissions are situational, often making the mission harder, not easier.
Destroying bases makes no sense at all. Destroying them spawns more enemies and patrols.
So yet again, making the mission harder (until you meet a threshold).
POIs like Vaults are important though.
I dont care about the 10xp and 100 gold you get for something pointless (hence me ignoring sidemissions and bases anyway, not worth my time), but the chance of getting super credits is possibly the only valuable thing you can bring out of a mission.
Medal farming. Get in, get out.
You go into a mission, find a vault or beacon, open it, it has credits or medals.
You close the game, enter the same mission again, its the same map, repeat process.
You get like 4 times the amount compared to playing an entire mission and farming every spot on the map.
Too much walking.
Medals and Credits do not have to be extracted.
You get them instantly on picking up.
Only samples need to be extracted. And basically no one needs samples.
'(Also no, we refuse to do the mind numbing grind at lv1 Trivial mission, I would rather play other game than do that)'
You asked "what medal farming?"
I explained that.
Dont ask about stuff, if the answer isnt what you want to hear.
You said that you get more medals out of a mission by playing 10 minutes longer and running around.
A: thats false, hence my answer and his answer and B: you dont just spend 10 minutes more doing that, because running between POIs for a mere chance for medals and credits takes longer if you really go through the map.
The answer is simple. People arent wasting time with secondaries and bonus stuff, because its a waste of time.
Newcomers do that, because they dont know better.
On top, doing these will make the mission harder, because every base destroyed spawns more enemies.
So you just go do the main objective, maybe do whats in your way and open the beacons that are in your path but then leave and do the next mission.
Doing it fast and efficient can not only be more fun as you have less walking simulator, its also far more rewarding in terms of resources.
xD
Wow, you're lucky. Sometimes I get people from quickplay that are ignoring everything.
They're running their own objective, to shoot most of the bugs.
I'm standing near bunker, reviving a dude, writing on chat "hey I need help to open a bunker". And he just runs past me to the nearest bug nest. Pew PEw PEw.
