Farming Super Credits and Difficulty Setting
Does increased difficulty increase the spawn rate of supa credits? Or is it best to farm them on lower difficulties?

Thanks for your considerations. This post was not pre-generated by AI.

You saying this post was not AI generated makes me think it was, I think you're an automaton! Seriously answer: No it is not impacted by difficulty, there's generally 60 super credits per mission, but sometimes instead of a pile of 10 a single pile can rarely be worth 100.

Its best to play on trivial, and pick maps that are big in size, small maps will most likely not have any super credits. There can be like 100 or more super credits in one mission but the usual you'll find is 10-50. They are either found in crashed pods or in shipping containers, in which you can find 2 piles at max. The best is finding a map that has them close and in high amounts and farm the map. Just collect and Alt + f4 and the map is saved but u still get credits. Its pretty broken right now.

If you do intend to farm, just lower the difficulty so that you won't get swarmed with mobs.

I usually do 3s for farming because it's the highest you can go with no super samples getting into the POI spawns. Also more medals.

If your going to farm, farm on either Trival or Easy difficulity. I've been farming medals and SCs on these maps as i wait for my friends to log in and since launch I have managed over 6k super credits and lots of medals to spend things on.

Still working on some samples though :(

Incorrect, on average I see maybe 20-40 per mission IF I'm able to get every single POI. It's rare that I see more than that in any mission and certainly not practical most of the time to clear the entire map searching every single POI on the map, over 50% are nothing spots or garbage weapons.
I don't know if anything changed with the latest patch, but I just got 100 SC at level 9 from a single loot. :MrFoster:

It is, and always was, a very rare occurence. Congrats on your good luck!

To further elaborate on previous answers, you will typically see less SC on higher difficulties (4+) because their spawn points start to get replaced with rare samples. To get the absolute best possible number of SC spawns play on a non-mountainous planet that has no water and pick a mission that has a small target point, such as Escape Pod Upload or Terminate Illegal Broadcast (difficulty level 2 missions). This will ensure most of the map is POIs, each with a chance at SC spawns.

As for gear I recommend light armor and a Grenade Launcher (for doors) plus a jump pack for quicker movement. With this setup you can typically completely explore a map in around 7-10 minutes or so and should average 10-15 POI points per mission. Doing this on difficulty 2 also gives you a 50% chance to get a Radar Tower (other 50% being SEAF Artillery) which will make checking the POIs much easier, but it will add a bit of time while you wait for the tower to raise. Once done with all POIs just exit the mission to your ship to speed things up unless you really want the common samples and minimal xp.

As mentioned above this is quite boring and not challenging at all, so it's up to you if the time is worth it or not. You can also do this with up to 4 people and everyone will get all the SC/Medals/etc you find; have each person take a direction and you can finish a map in just a few minutes, reset and do it again until you have as many SC as you want.

- In 4+ difficulty, you start getting rare samples inside bunkers and pods, and therefore less credits and medals.
- Diff 1 maps are very small, and POIs much closer, making it a lot faster to go around the map clearing them all.
- It's best to do it with other players to open bunkers and each clean a part of the map.
- Desert or moon planets are the best for this, as they are mostly flat and offer great visibility.
- Avoid maps with lots of water or weird forms, as this will reduce the amount of POIs. Focus on full circle maps.
- Don't bother doing the mission, just return to the ship as soon as you cleared all POIs.
