Eradicator FS-38 armor is essentialy useless
Enhanced protection provide 50% explosive damage reduction, problem is the armor rating is too low at 50 to protect against about any explosion alltogether nullifying the entire perk survivability advantage

Should more have the stats of the Infiltrator SC-34 armor so at max health you may actually survive an explosion consitently instead of getting oneshot like you had no perk at all

Skill issue. Stance matters. If you're prone, the perk can absolutely be the difference between life and death. Obviously if you take a rocket to the face while running directly into it you're going to die, as you should.

Most my deaths have been while prone, the concept of the perk is to prevent oneshot from rockets or nearby mortar like explosion which it fails miserably at it all the time with this armor

Rocket either do a direct hit or their wont ever even cause damage as its all impact weaponry

Rocket easely account about +60% of deaths on every lobby I join

Sounds like you were too close to the explosion for it to matter.

VS bot there is no "near" half the enemy are rocket spamming enemies saturating the entire area near you

And drop ship tend to always decide to drop squads of RD about 20m away from you all the time

Then how am I able to routinely survive rocket impacts while wearing it? The only things that one shot me often enough for me to take notice are cannon towers.

I had the armor on on 20 diff 9 mission and it has saved me a grand total of 1 time only from a direct rocket hit at max health

Not a combo hit, just one rocket at max health reliably oneshot me in it

I survive more often using the DP-11 armor than this one can

50% explosive resistance is nice, but I wouldn't rely on it. It's certainly saved me plenty of times from my own grenades when they happen to impact on a critter coming out of a bug hive. If I'm not wearing explosive resistance armor, that kills me instantly instead of doing a fraction of HP damage and flinging me away.

And besides that, I don't wear it so much for the explosive resistance I wear it for the better recoil control. The resistance is just a nice bonus that I find to be slightly more useful in quickplay than simply two more grenades. This is the armor I usually wear when I decide I'm going to run the Dominator for the evening.

It's probably your head that's also catching some of the explosive radius since our head is not protected according to the very intelligent devs who "fixed" the armor system a few weeks ago.

That's actually would be explaining a lot of the utter inconsitency I've been subjected to if it means head is no covered by the added resistance

It's more like for dangerous stratagem usage, than for "tanking" explosions.

Yeah especially since a single Devastator rocket or one of those shoulder launched ones one shot you, I'm guessing it just travels over your head and that's part of the reason why they always one shot you no matter what.

It provide no protection against anything stratagem related at this armor rating, if you get ragdolled by it you're also dead 9/10 time
the explosive resist works and has worked since the beginning, I've been using this armor very consistently for some time

it's really noticeable even from the first time an explosive goes off near you, you'll still ragdoll but I rarely die from an explosion unless it's pretty much on top of me, at which point... yeah? that's fair I guess, if you're caught in the middle of an explosion even a 50% damage reduction is probably still gonna blow your ass to kingdom come

Note I talk about a specific armor not the perk itself, I can tank even hulk rockets with the heavy armor + perk combo

Problem is putting such perk on armor with a rating so low the perk is nullified vs any scenario you get hit by explosives

Im ok being required to be at max health to survive a direct hit compared to other heavier armor classes but currently you get oneshot regarldess on the first rocket hit

I.E that 50% acts like its not even applied
