Flying enemies will be the death of this game.
Already waaay too much happening on the ground to bother staring at the sky to deal with them. Not a smart edition to the game.

Hello sir, have you tried getting better at the game?

They're effin' brilliant, I hate them! Flying bugs was their best idea yet.

Seeing as you are new to the game, I would suggest the following:
Everytime you log into the game and choose a game to join/host, the game auto-sets your difficulty to where it "thinks" you are appropriately skilled for. As this is most likely not the case, you may want to consider choosing a difficulty below 5 as elite and unique monsters don't spawn at such difficulties.

Try to play a considerate amount of time at difficulty 4 and below and learn how to control fights, overcome challenges and adopt a safe and confident awareness of your surroundings. All of these little skills will come in handy when you later decide to jump into difficulty 5.
You will meet insanely difficult foes such as Chargers, Nursing Spewers and Shriekers and they all require attention and strategy. Don't give up and learn how to deal with them!
Sometimes you need to look behind you or even in the sky and this can cause nausea and confusing, I am sure it will be. But once you get the hang of it, you can start prioritizing threats, communicate with your team and reach the extraction zone safely and competently.

youre one of those die once and leave people arent you? i dont understand them, they contribute to sample collection and mission progress, then leave in a strop when they die and get... nothing?

no matter how slow they will fall into your direction you will die no matter the armor

No, I'm not. But when it becomes clear my team would rather waste reinforces on pointlessly running around and not achieving anything I leave.

I get that, but that thing is the size of an SUV, the ones in game are person sized.

Like if a Brood Commander fell on me I'd get it, but shriekers aren't really that big.
neither is a bullet lol but again you dont have to stand still you can dodge them and i def agree with some users in this post that bugs are easier if you compare the two factions bugs are much easier to handle then the bots matching the difficulty do bugs on 9 an do bots on 9 like an tell my how tight your rear end is after the bots lol

more reason to keep moving and not stop to fight

Just... run pass them? Plant a nuke on their base and nuke em. Unlike stalkers you don't need to fight shriekers. Just don't trigger patrol and that's it. Shriekers can't really do anything if you are running lol.

not the case at all i survive one shots all the time with the armor that negates lethal damage

Yeah, there's just so much happening, they should really make this a coop game so that we can spread the load. Shame it's only a single player game though.

Yeah, I ag- oh, the rest of my squad is dealing with 6 chargers and 5 bile titans with 40 hoppers, 30 hunters and at least 20 other shriekers. (Yes, this has been happening on D7-9. No, I'm not even memeing.)

Wow, nice team game when you can't even team play because the game is a running simulator.

"Just use stratagems" Oh, look at that. 50-100% Call-in time. Time to miss ever strat because they're too slow.

My approach to dealing with lots of flying enemies and ground enemies, is to apply the usual tactic of "Situation sucks? Hit da bricks."
You can just leave. You can walk out! What are the bugs gonna do, vote to stop you from walking? They don't even HAVE managed democracy!

(Seriously though, I do tend to just sprint for nests. Fliers seem to have a hard time hitting you if you position yourself right, once you're in you just drop the hellbomb, arm that ♥♥♥♥, and get out of there before any bug has a chance to take out the bomb.)

Cleanup comes later, you tend to get overwhelmed by fliers if you stay still and try to take them out as they keep spawning. It seems that on higher difficulties with more people they'll come in faster than you can kill em. So just blow up their nest first!

My only real gripe with them is that their corpses are more lethal then the actual enemy themselves, their only really an issue if you drop near one randomly and get swarmed before your gear comes into play
