It's because the fighting spirit and love of Democracy of each Helldiver is passed onto their successor.

You boarded a shuttle packed full of cryopods with other helldiver recruits after training, and the default setting randomizes the voice when you die.

Each time you reinforce you're a different helldiver. The first helldiver you completed training with has been dead for a long time, and you've gone through many since then.

Super Earth's Helldivers (as in the whole helldiver military force) never die. The individual helldivers are definitely dying.

Dying is against your contract so you get demoted from Helldiver if you get killed. :)

Helldivers as a concept. One helldiver might die but the idea of Helldivers will never die.
So .... "Helldivers never die".

You're basically playing as the ship. Helldivers are your ammo. Each time the Helldiver you are controlling dies and reinforcements needed, another Helldiver in released from cryosleep and dropped down.
