So, I've just noticed that my democracy officer has an eyepatch, and several randoms I've joined their Democracy officer does not. I can't remember if mine started out with one or not. Is it a random thing or does he get one after hitting a certain level or something?

It's random. Shame you can't just customize him, would be a way to display an armor set or something.

Yes the eyepatch is hidden game content! My friends first noticed the eye patch after the first couple weeks since release. I thought maybe it was from the super citizen edition. But it doesnt seem to be the case. A couple of my friends later bought SC about a month after release and they dont have this eyepatch either. My next theory is the eyepatch was earned from those who played during the first week of release.

If anyone has a better explanation feel free to share. This is the best I have come up while jumping into various lobbies asking them questions over the course of a month.
