A game for everyone is a game for no one
"A game for everyone is a game for no one"
Straight from Arrowhead's mouth... well guess what? A game for no one is also a game for no one. Your "balance" decisions fail to take into account the overwhelming selfishness of the vast majority of this community.

These lone wolves are never going to change. So all these nerfs given to equipment and buffs given to enemies are hurting the people that are playing the way you want them to. While you try to punish the lone wolves, we're stuck here getting trampled by 4 Bile Titans, 6 Chargers, 14 Spewers, and 30 Hunters...

Many of us found a way to manage this with Arc Thrower, Stun Nades, and 500 KG... BUT NOW THE ARC THROWER IS MAKING THE GAME CRASH...

TL;DR: STOP MAKING THE GAME LESS FUN IN AN ATTEMPT TO CORRAL PEOPLE INTO YOUR DESIRED PLAYSTYLE... IT ISN'T WORKING...

Shut your mouth. If that seems like a lot of enemies, DOWN THE DAMN DIFFICULTY.

You "true gamers" are an absolute bunch of idiots who don't understand when things are out of your reach. Difficulty 9 has to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HELL. If you don't like it, DON'T PLAY IT. Because I assure you, on difficulties 4-6 you will not find what you have said, and the game is balanced at those levels. If you play 7+ it is because YOU LIKE TO SUFFER. Which is fine, it's fine to enjoy a game on crazy difficulty. But OBVIOUSLY you don't like that, and what you want is for the difficulty to be lowered to the highest difficulties. High difficulties are NOT made for casual play, they are NOT the standard. The standard is medium difficulties, for OBVIOUS reasons.

So stop complaining and LOWER THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DIFFICULTY.
What you say has no sense.
Also, stop including me, and the "overwhelming selfishness of the vast majority of this community" into your not factual rant. Thank you.
And also, making it sound like arc thrower crashing your game just when you found your way, supposedly to have fun, is somehow linked, is quite funny.

Get off your horse. You're one buddy and only speak for yourself.

Me, and the 86%+ positive steam reviews, have much fun.

I think 7 is the perfect difficulty, and I agree with you. But you need to understand that the balance changes Arrowhead is making are made with the intent to force the community into the playstyle they want to see... working as a team (WHICH I ALSO WANT).

The problem is they are completely ignoring the unrelenting selfishness and stubborn mentality of the vast majority of gamers.

The Arc Thrower isn't "my way of fun." It's a way to mitigate the increased spawns that lone wolves are creating.

How am I on a high horse when I'm asking Arrowhead to stop making balance changes that force the community into a playstyle that most people will never adopt?

Think about the argument before you make knee-jerk posts.

Even Deep Rock Galactic has a single player mode. And you can unlock everything in the game, without ever leaving hazard 1, it just takes way longer. Arrowhead has no excuses not to do something similar.

I don't think you should be able to unlock everything playing at a lower level. They are obviously trying to nudge people in the direction of playing the higher tiers... which is a good thing IMO...

Again, the problem is that Arrowhead is not taking the stupidity and selfishness of the general population into account when making "balancing" decisions that ultimately end up hurting the people that are playing the way Arrowhead intended...

If given the choice, players will optimize the fun out of a game. That's why they won't listen to you and your desire to have it your way: because it optimizes the fun out of the game. The high's of emotion must be contrasted with the frustrating lows to mean anything.

Which is to say, having a game that will give you those massive adrenaline spikes, it must provide a challenge and a level of discomfort a fair bit of the time, because otherwise "those moments" won't mean anything.

I give it 6 months and Estanu will be a memory to cherish, as the time "you were here for space vietnam."

Games are for relaxing, and escapism. Forcing players into a higher difficulty than they're comfortable with, or into a team when they want to be left the ♥♥♥♥ alone is simply a bad idea.

What do you mean by "my way?" I'm not even advocating for a "way." I'm asking Arrowhead to leave stuff alone that the playerbase finds fun (even if it's OP or braindead). People were loving the pre-patch Railgun, so Arrowhead nerfed it and buffed enemies in an attempt to force players into a more team-based playstyle.

You can unlock all equipment in the lower levels. It's the Ship Mods that you won't be able to unlock without the Samples from higher tiers.

And I think that's okay. You should have reasons to play the higher tiers.

It's not.

The devs come off as egomaniacs, they'll call you brain dead for not playing their game the way they want to, it's short-sighted and just goes to show this game was a success by accident

The reward for higher difficulties should be more resources, not better resources. Again, DRG does that, and it worked flawlessly.
