Make the ball not bounce

Any tips on how to avoid the ball bouncing around?

If I want my support weapon at my feet, instead of rolling around, any tips?

I think if you throw onto any hard surface, it'll bounce. For instance, stone or metal will cause the strat. to bounce. Dirt, snow, and sand should be okay, but it can seem pretty inconsistent sometimes.

Sometimes it bounces and sometimes it sticks on the first surface it hits.
I often have my sentries bounce away from a good position down into the crowd of enemies.

Because the game doesnt offer an ARC to see where it will land and give a tinted color to know if it will bounce or not.

The only thing you can do is throw it slightly further away than you were intending.
