AMR is doing everything better than AC and a bit extra. Howdya kill a hulk with AC while it's right in flamethrower range??
Yes, these are largely things you CAN do with your primary.. But speed of killing can be pretty valuable too, and I severely doubt typical primaries are doing it as fast as the AC will, and that can be the difference between clearing the field or getting overwhelmed.
Oh yeah, and it can close bug holes and blow up bot fabricators from a distance (for the latter, aim for the vent cover and bounce the shot down inside the fabricator)
Same way as you would with the AMR? Slam rounds into the eye slit/visor and boom it goes.
Then It can kill almost everything, because the games easier with a PS5 host.
Other than that.. it can close bug holes.. yey..
It can also destroy automatons cannons and AA emplacements, and is good as a support weapon if your group can reliably deal with a surge of heavies.
Don't discard the autocannon, it has its niche.
You use a stun nade and since you have the AC you can use that to blow up factories.
Annihilators are a bummer sometimes. 2 impacts on the turret portion works as an excellent panic option
you don't, you call in an airstrike or something
like how would you handle that same situation with an AMR?
Stun Grenades in general. I use the laser cannon or railgun, depending on mood, to nail the Hulk's eye after a stunnin' myself of late.
I mean, to a certain extent I could agree with you that AMR could be mastered to a certain level where it would substitute autocannon, but the ability to close holes is actually not a small deal.
