Are there paid weapons?

I can not understand. I'm thinking of buying this game, but I didn't like that there are already two weapons, MP-98 Knight, SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary, which can only be obtained for a donation. It's true? And how do you feel about it?

Well only the knight is really paywalled. And its not that good compared to other weapons. It useable, but not OP. The other weapon and all others can be farmed via super credits. Though it will be a LOONNNGGG grind to 1000 credits for free.

Everything else (for now anyway) are completely free if you can willing to grind a "bit".

Every weapon is unlockable in-game. There are booster-pack thingies released once a month, but they never leave. You need 1,000 credits to unlock them, then everything inside those packs must be bought with a currency called medallions, which are in-game acquired and cannot be purchased. The credits used to buy the booster packs can either be bought or acquired via gameplay. It took me about 30 hours to get the 1,000 credits needed to unlock a new pack. Personally, I don't feel and requirement to spend money on credits, as there is plenty to unlock in the first pack, and you get enough credits for another pack way before finishing the first one.

"Grind" is a strange way to say "playing the game". Nothing is gated, you can play the entire game without unlocking any of the special packs.

To add detail to this post, You can pay or grind out 1000 Super Credits, or SC, to buy the Warbonds that contain different weapons. Super Credits are find-able in missions, particularly low level ones, as higher level missions share their SC spawn locations with other resources.

After that, regardless of it's the free Warbond or the premium ones, you need to gather Medals, obtainable in three ways, the same loot pool that the SC drops in, by simply clearing missions and operations (aka playing the game), or by completing Personal Orders (dailies) and Major Orders (community-achieved story events)

Hopefully that makes it a bit clearer.

you can earn everything in the game but its a mindless grind through a tiny amount of content ! yes you can just buy access to the premium battlepass but you still need to earn medals to get the stuff in the bond ! its a horrible system that is not nasty yet but is ready to take full advantage of players !

so the knight is the only gun locked behind the "special edition" bundle, and like others say its good not great. As for the premium battle passes, they cost 1k super credits, BUT you do get 100 super credits for the first few pages of the free battle pass, then 50 for the last half. So you could easily save up around 600 by just doing the battle pass, then the rest you can find in game, 10-30 super credits for the 40 min missions.

Plus your not in a rush or anything as ALL battle passes are permanent and don't leave.

Yeah its not that long to your first 1k. I got through a couple of pages in the first battle pass and got most of the credits there. Then did a handful of low end missions to blitz the lootables for more.

Kinda regretting getting the steel warrior battlepass instead of the cutting edge pack. I managed to try the Burster shotgun and its pretty damn solid.

ive gotten both passes and finished both on last page of free pass just missing the armor ill never wear so takeing my time with that sitting on 3k super credits now for next 3 passes or any new armors they add to the shop

yeah they still force you to spend a certain among of metal to progress , i wanted to unlock the dominator , it by it self cost 80 metal and befor i can buy it i have to spend like 800 medal

its is gated by time , in other words you have to grind for it

It takes a few hours to farm the SC for the newer war bonds, don't be lying...

in my opinion you will have probably 3000-4000 premium currency you've earned from just playing the game by the time you get everything on the free warbond

All content in the game currently can be cleared at the highest difficulty level with the gear included in the purchase price.

There are no guns or gear in the microtransaction shops that are required.

As others have said, you can also easily gain the currency through playing.
